Can there be a gray area between the treatment of risks? If a risk factor exists – how can it be expected to be evaluated as ‘likely occurring' as opposed to just ‘occurring'? This is different from seeing a bunch of risk factors existing, thereby exhibiting a ‘pervasive over the financial statements as a whole' quality. [this doesn't concern ‘testing of controls'].

Anyone else waiting a really long time for an NTS? The last two times it was so quick and now it's been weeks. Is it because of the holidays?

I should start studying anyway but it doesn't seem urgent until after I schedule a test date.

    FAR 8/2013 - Passed!
    REG 11/2013 - Passed!
    AUD 1/2014

@Jeff – and I'm currently stressing out about it! It's the first official day of Christmas break at my house, and I haven't studied a bit yet. I'm going to have to start getting up before everyone else in the house, I think. And mornings are pretty much my arch-nemesis…. I hope the rest of you January testers are finding time to study during the holidays! Temporary sacrifice. This will be over one day!!

    Happy Holiday Studying to all!!!

I finally passed FAR 11/2013, and now I am ready to tackle this AUD end of 1/2014. Reading everyone's post has me a bit nervous, but I feel so empowered from conquering FAR after only the 5th try…seriously. Thank the heavens I can smile about it now.

#Stoleway – this maybe a silly question but what does “AL” stand for?

#Nikkip – I am also using Becker and will continue to supplement my study's with Ninja Audio, WTB, and notes. My strategy is to go through the entire Becker program (this will be my foundation), listen to the NINJA audio (based on completed becker chapters) during my ride to/from work. Weekends are the big study days, spend 1hr (each day) re-writing Ninja notes, remainder of time spent doing MCQ's in WTB and Becker. This helped me finally pass FAR.

    Good Luck to Everyone
