MemberSlacker,
I haven't been in your shoes since I have gotten most all mine done before my first busy season coming up here. But I do have many friends in the big 4 who did this. I think the best piece of advice I got from them is do at least an hour of multiple choice a day and not to take a day off. You will hardly have any time to do large 5-8 hour chunks like you can on Sat/Sun during non-busy season.
Hope this helps your domination of the exam! Go Hawks!

InactiveFor those of you having this be your first test, I have used Becker Self Study and used the NINJA notes for FAR and BEC. I have only taken these 2 exams and have passed both of them with this study method. Becker is very fast paced and can be confusing at times. I recommend that you go through the whole book with Becker completing the MCQs and Simulations and then read the NINJA notes and re-write them 2-3 times. The NINJA notes break things down into really simple and easy to understand wordage, so that it isn't as confusing. After you re-write the NINJA notes take as many Progress Reports as you can. I have also noticed that I slightly change my studying depending on the test, so for the first exam see what works for you and make adjustments going forward. I wish everyone good luck in the new year and hope that well have those 3 letters at the end of our name in 2014. Hopefully that helped
B – PASSED
A – 1/28
R – 2/28
F – PASSED
Quotes above my desk for studying:
“The night is darkest before the dawn”
“When you want to succeed as mush as you want to breathe, then you will be successful”
“Pressure either breaks pipes or makes diamonds”
“Rome was not built in a day”
“If you want to fly high, you have to give up the things that weigh you down”

ParticipantOK… here I go…. again. My first Audit…I failed with a 69. Think that it did something to my “mojo” because I'm struggling to get my motivational fire back. I've been blaming it on the holidays but truthfully, I've been licking my wounds scared to get back in the ring.
Rematch mid January. I'm going to just dive in and fight with everything that I have and let the chips fall where they may.

ParticipantGot a question for anybody who can answer it. What specific Financial Accounting entries should I focus on studying? There is a possibility that something like this might show up on Audit because that's what the audit is about after all.
BEC: 66, 74, 80* (Expired), 73, 76*
FAR: 66, 72, 67, TBA
REG: 68, 72, 74, 70, 79*
AUD: 43, 71, 77* (Expired), 71, TBAJanuary 3, 2014 at 1:20 am #521149Misu243

MemberJust took AUD today, result is I am VERY unsure if I did well, as you can see I had no problem and pass the other 3 tests the first time, but this Audit test was much different than the feeling I had before which I am hoping is good.
First Testlet: Absolutely dominated, would be surprised if I missed more than 3.
Second Testlet (noticeably harder) really don't know how I did.
Third (Easier than the second, is this really bad?): Didn't dominate but think I did okay.
Sims: Got 2 of them completely right, but who knows on the rest. Really nervous about the Sims. Crossing my fingers.
I am hoping that the increase in multiple choice difficulty means I got the 6 points I needed from the previous test, this is something that defiantly didn't happen from the previous exams. Just letting some steam out, would appreciate any thoughts that people have.

MemberAre you tax or audit? It's worrisome to see that you passed the other three with room but are having a hard time on audit. Good luck with your score.
