I'm torn if I should take Audit in May without taking FAR yet. I've heard that it is best to take audit after FAR. Any of you guys taking Audit before FAR?

Restudying for aud, got 70 and 72. My reg expires 6/30, so I'm having a tough situation. This is my last exam. I got comparable on sim the last 2times I took aud but weaker on mcq. Need advice from you guys.

    REG: 77 x2
    BEC: 81 x3
    FAR: 68 retake 10/1
    AUD: 8/27

    Hello
I failed in the Audit test and I feel depressed. I scored 59 and now I am planning to retake it by the end of April. I am going to use Becker; Is it required to study the new material or I just have to stick with the 2016 version?
Well, my experience with the test that I have done well with MCQs (Stronger) but I did really bad in SIMS (Weaker). I feel that I lack understanding in the Audit Evidence\, actually, I was pushing my self to take the test before April. Well, shit happens, I need to stop whining and start to study again. I would appreciate any recommendations.

Took Aud Q1 and got a 72, weak in simulation. I'm so confused I don't know how I should study. I read through Becker textbook and have Wiley online test bank. Wiley test bank will be updated for 2017 but I'm just not sure if going back to it would be any help.

Would Ninja 10 point combo help? Any other studying suggestion?

There aren't usually more than a couple of financial ratio questions on audit right? Seems like it's not worthwhile to memorize each ratio.

I just started audit (have audit and far to go) and I cant express enough my frustration with the new Becker materials.

There aren't any progress tests, barely any MCQ for review, and the new layout is distracting.

I'm a little annoyed to hear that audit is better to take after Far though.

@sulaiman, thanks I appreciate it! I used the Gleim sims and IMO they did a VERY good job preparing me for what I actually saw on the exam. Good luck in Q2!

jivexturk3y; if you study FAR prior to AUD, it will help tremendously. Half of AUD sims is FAR related. I think because I passed far before aud, it's a big help.

    REG: 77 x2
    BEC: 81 x3
    FAR: 68 retake 10/1
    AUD: 8/27

Guys, anyone knows why Becker have the skills practice in their software? it's almost the same as what is being said in the lecture! Also, regarding the new test format and testing (analysis & evaluation skills), as I can see in Becker new software all the MCQ are either remembering and understanding or application skills, so where are they going to test us with analysis and evaluation skills? Is it going to be only in sims? I hope not since sims are already difficult in audit and testing higher skills on them will only make them worse!

    @NeedsA75

Thanks! I will use them this time.

@ikim13 – I prep with Becker and supplement with Ninja MCQ and Ninja Audio.

BEC – Only Becker (until 1 day before when I discovered Ninja – for the last day, I used Ninja MCQ)
FAR – Becker + Ninja Audio (I really liked this Audio. I think it helped a lot) + Ninja MCQ (I bought 10 point combo (BOGO), but only used those 2 parts)
REG – Becker + Ninja Audio (This audio was a little tougher because REG is harder to discuss in an audio) + Ninja MCQ (I bought 10 point combo (BOGO), but only used those 2 parts)
AUD – (just started) Current Plan: Becker + Ninja Audio + Ninja MCQ

As for the amount of time – That is a question that nobody can answer, sadly. It totally depends on you. Everyone learns differently, picks up different stuff faster/slower, and has different skills.

I have only dedicated between 3 and 4 weeks of studying for each FAR, BEC, while working full time, but I've seen others on this board say they are studying full time and took 6-12 weeks. Everyone is different!

Is this your first section? If you have passed, I would use a similar timeline as you used in past tests. If not, 4-6 weeks seems like a healthy amount of time to dedicate.
