    Im retaking this stupid exam on May 1st. 73 the first time.
    The score report said I was weaker in the following areas:

    Understanding the Engagement
    Procedures & Evidence
    Evaluation & Reporting
    SIMs

    I have gone through and read through all the chapters and redid all my notes. I printed out all the different audit reports and read through them a bunch of times. I can say I now feel comfortable in saying I know the Unmodified report. I am using acronyms to try and help me. I'm going through all the MCQ and SIMs again. I'm doing really well on the MCQ but its probably because I have seen all these questions several times before. SIMs are still really tough. Sims relating to journal entries always mess me up. DRSs are pretty brutal as well.

    These transaction cycles are going to be the death of me. I feel like I have to just memorize those charts in Becker as I can't leverage any real-world experience in memorizing or understanding any of it…

    Want to know what's worse? I got a 74 while I got stronger in all areas except (Understanding the Engagement) which was comparable but yet I have not been able to pass because I got weaker in sims only! Can you believe it? I still have doubt about the result and I going to retake it and challenge my 74 score at the same time because I spent at least 2 hours in sims during my exam and I can't believe I did that bad.

    Not doing too hot in Ninja SIMS either…But hoping that maybe as I hone my conceptual knowledge, the SIMS get better… That 74 definitely stinks!

    sulaiman, I'm assuming you got stronger overall on the MC and weaker in the sims?

    @sulaiman sorry to hear that man. SIMs are so so fucked up. when are you retaking? how are you revising your study strategy?

    Yeah I got weaker on sims, and stronger on overall MCQ

    I going to retake it in about a month from now like 4/15 because I couldn't study after that score which I received about three weeks ago, but yesterday I started to study again.
    I am not going to change anything in my studying strategy but because of the Becker's new software, I started watching the lectures again then doing MCQ which, not surpassingly, so far got them all correct. However, I think after I'm done with everything in Becker's software, I'd buy another review for just their sims to make sure that I don't get weaker again in this area especially they are now worth more (50%) and they are going to be even harder.

    That's kinda scary, considering the MC is worth 60% of your grade.

    No offense, but you must have totally bombed the sims. However, you said you left yourself 2 hours for the sims which seems like it should have been plenty of time to get a lot of partial credit.

    Were you sims crazy hard? Do you think you got the research question right?

    Has anyone been able to find Sims they feel are equal to the difficulty on the test? I don't know if I just had bad luck and got really hard ones but I have not been able to find practice Sims that match the difficulty I saw on my exam.

    I'm not sure, but I meant I'm not going to use their lecture or MCQ because Becker is more than enough so even if I buy the whole package, I would use and practice their sims only.

    To be honest? I left the exam hoping I did just okay in MCQ because I was sure that I got at least 4 of the sims 100% correct especially the research question which was easy to find and the other three I'd say 50-70% were correct. However, the result gave me the opposite of what I felt leaving the exam. So, to answer your question, I think they were difficult but manageable especially with the time that I left for them, so that's why I am going to challenge my score

    @sulaiman i feel like they just felt like screwing everyone over and make everyone take the new exam version. i left the exam feeling pretty confident. did decently well on the practice exams too. here's to hoping that everyone does worse on the new exam format thus lowering the curve for everyone.
