Question about your study methods. I take AUD on 5/31 for my first time. I listened to Jeff's recent podcast and he told someone to get through her “phonebook” (I'm assuming she was using Becker) as quick as possible, without taking chapter tests and use 2 weeks to hammer MCQ and 1.5 weeks to hammer SIM. If I use the next 3 days to finish my book, I don't think I'll understand the material as much. Is scoring high on Becker SIM & MCQ going to get me to a passing grade? Or do I need to understand how everything works together? I feel lost on how to study now.
@chasinCPA Depends on how do you absorb the material. There no point in scoring high and inflating scores if you're not learning the concepts and know how to apply them. You can only answer that question yourself. I personally like speeding through the videos + end of chapter questions on CPAexcel and then spending the rest of the time reviewing on mcq and sims, but like I said no one shoe fits all.
Thanks @Anthony I've taken Audit classes before this, so I'm really hoping most of the material will come back to me as I go through it. I took BEC last month and I used the Becker way of going through the modules, one by one, but I didn't do near as many practice MCQs as everyone else (ran out of time). I won't know my results until August, so I'm not sure if that way worked for me or not. I may try to speed through videos. If I'm really struggling on some MCQ, I'll have to find time to review my week areas.
First post to this thread, retake Exam on the 30th! Anyone find themselves an effective way to test themselves on audit evidence/mgmt assertions outside of MCQ's and SIMS? I use Roger and Ninja MCQ.
are there any topic in ninja MCQ that will not be tested in the exam? should I go over all the topic? I think I heard from someone saying that the new exam content will not cover in several topic in ninja mcq. I want to know before I start to read and filter.
