I changed from Yeager to Becker for Auditing..This is my first time using Becker, so i wanted to know whether is it enough to go through the Becker Videos for Review and Final Review and then do the Wiley test bank? Should i read the textbook too? For my Reg exam i went through just the Yeager videos and did the test bank. So was wondering can i do the same with Becker?

    Thanks!

    Finally done!!! Experience-pending. Ethics- Pending.
    Reg 78 / 73/82.
    Aud 74/89.

I've really got to pick up the pace – been slacking for a few days. Ugh, transition at work has been wearing me out.

Hello everyone…I am about to schedule my AUD exam. I will take either May 18th or May 24th.

Good luck to everyone. I am a Becker guy. Let me know if you guys have any good ideas for some additional simulations. I have heard the ones in Becker are too easy.

    Thanks,

    Zeppelin

@Zepplin Do you have the Wiley testbank? There are approx 40 audit sims in the bank to practice with! I used the Becker Text+Ninja Notes+Wiley Bank for my last audit attempt so I'm very familiar with the Becker Textbook! I'm using the Wiley Textbook this time around to see some of the topics I struggled with from a different perspective.

@NickT I'm using the Wiley textbook as well and I'm working my through Module 3! Glad to see there are other Wiley textbook users as well! Hopefully this weekend I will finish 3 & 4 and will be caught up. When are you testing?

    Good Luck Everyone! πŸ™‚

I paid for all 4 tests last month and scheduled them out as followed: AUD in feb 2013, FAR in april 2013, REG in july 2013, and BEC in august 2013.

I just found out that I did not pass AUD last month, so I want to take it again before the june 30 '13. Can I just pay for another ATT for just AUD this time, and schedule it May? Or do I have to wait until I have completed the tests from my ongoing ATT/NTS and then go through the process again?

    βœ“ AUD: (85) Apr2014 ~~ (87) Apr2016
    βœ“ FAR: (74) Aug2015 ~~ (74) Oct2015 ~~ (79) Jun2016

@Groud, you can register for AUD with a new NTS regardless of whether you have a pending NTS. As long as its not for a part that's pending. AUD is no longer pending therefore you can register for it.

    AUD 85 (11.10 - expired), 0 (2.13), 82* (5.13)
    BEC 49 (5.09), 38 (5.11), 75* (10.11)
    REG 65 (2.11), 74 (11.11), 0 (2.12), 81* (4.12)
    FAR 67 (5.12), 73 (12.12), 78* (2.13)

I've taken FAR and REG so far and totally bombed them both (47 and 59). The thing that kills me is that I studied SO hard for both of them. The firm I work for paid for Becker so that's what I've been using.

I'm currently studying for AUD next and I really want to pass or else I'm afraid I'm going to want to quit… Any suggestions on the best ways to study? My co-worker (who passed all four parts) told me to just read the book and do the mc and practice tests. I've watched the lectures for the other two tests but now I don't know if I should bother watching them for AUD or not… Open to any suggestions!

@NickT Sounds like a plan!!! I'm halfway through M3 and hopefully will have M4 put to bed on Sunday!

@Losingmotivation…don't lose motiviation!!!! Pick up the Ninja Notes and Ninja Audio. Read/listen to those first before tacking a Becker chapter to give you something broad and relatable to tie into. For example, I found the Becker chapter on reporting to be particularly soul crushing and extremely detailed, but the Ninja notes before and after gives framework to absorb the details. After you read Ninja Notes, read and take notes on your chapters, read and now recopy your ninja notes (or your own notes) to really firm up the information. THEN start drilling the MCQS and sims for that topic. That's how you really learn, IMHO.

Don't be like me on my last attempt at Audit!!! I put in over 160 hours, prepared notes on the becker chapters, I was very caught up on completing crazy amounts of MCQS and became overly familar with the wiley test bank. Instead of really learning and understanding, after 2000+ MCQS I feel that I memorized the Q&A and didn't have success on the SIMS hence my 68. It was a very painful experience but a focused and consise prep I think is the best way to go.

Don't give up, you can do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check in and let us know how you are doing!!!! πŸ™‚

    Hi All,

I have been battling this CPA war for a little over a year now and I've fought 4 battles and only won 1. I was getting discouraged and was contemplating defeat. I recently found NINJA and it has given hope to continue on. This is my first attempt at AUD and first time using NINJA materials. I have been studying with Roger's review and it comes with Wiley ( I bought all 4 parts) – it seem like not a lot you guys are using Roger. I just wanted to say that in reading all of your experiences and comments it has given me motivation. With other forums I mostly ready about how people pass it all on their first try and they finished the whole thing in less than 6 months :/ It just seem your comments are from genuine people who are going through what I am struggling with. I was discouraged, but in seeing how much more other people have to juggle in their daily life in addition to studying, how much more battles people have fought and yet came so close over and over again, and how long they have dedicated to this (years) – I should not give up.

I have scheduled my AUD for 5/9.

Oh, I was reading some of the earlier comments and I'm not sure if this help. With Roger, they say that you should consistently score on the Wiley's (full exam practice mode) an 85 or above to gauge how prepare you are for the exam. A score of 85 and above should equate to 75 and above. *This is not an absolute assurance, just theoretically.

I am planning on watching the videos, read/take additional notes using the NINJA notes, go through the HW MCQ (Wiley book) and take notes. After each chapter I will try to re-read the previous chapter's notes to review. When I have downn times, (thank you to Jeff's generosity) I will listen to the AUD audio repeatedly. Once I go through all of the chapters I will concentrate on reading the notes over, re-writting it, and using Wiley's test bank to practice MCQ and practice exam mode. And hopefully my result will reflect my hard work. If anyone who has taken it or currently taking it have any advice on how to study for AUD your comment would greatly be appreciated. Sorry for such a long message!

I took: FAR- failed 62; took BEC- failed 68; retake FAR- passed 79; retake BEC- failed 66

    FAR: 62;79
    AUD: 76
    REG:67; 77
    BEC: 68;66; 12/05/13
