MintsRGoodParticipantI'm going to spend today tackling Wiley Modle 2 on Engagement Planning and Risk Assessment! Engagement planning was one of my weaker topics on my recent score report, so I plan on taking detailed notes and drilling the MCQS and SIMS!

AnonymousInactive@ Marwan – I just finished A1 and I feel the same way. To compensate for this I am going to rely heavily on rereading/note taking. I am using google docs to go through and outline the chapter right after finishing the lecture so I can frame this material. Once I get to my final review then I will go through and hand rewrite those typed notes – but typing them out the first time makes the process much more efficient.
Anyone else used a process like this?

im taking notes on everything, including MCs and have started rewriting the ninja notes in anticipation of my exam on 4/20. Are you guys memorizing all the ratios?
i just made way thru all the MCs for becker and am 3/4 thru wiley test bank…then im gonna do them all over again and keep taking and writing note after note until this sticks.
hows everyone's else studying going?

MintsRGoodParticipant@Journey…I wouldn't necessarily say I'm memorizing all of the ratios but I am definitely focusing on the key ratios like current, quick, debt:equity, EPS, and turnover ratios and being familiar with the others. There are a few good sims for ratios on the testbank for practice! I'm going to dive into Wiley Module 3 tomorrow and hopefully will finish it up by Wednesday/Thursday. I'm also writing 10 pages per day of Ninja Notes with a goal of 3 time completely recopied before exam day.
Good Luck Everyone!!!!!!!

neika822ParticipantJust finishing up A2 with Becker. Now I'm writing notes. I hate this part, since I feel like my hand might fall off… but then again, I hate every part of studying.
I need to kick it into gear. I get so flaky with studying… I'll sit down and then 5 minutes later I'll get up and HAVE to do the dishes, or do the laundry, or refold clothes in my closet. Argh. I'm hoping for enough snow tomorrow that I can “call out” of work and study the whole day.

AnonymousInactiveHello fellow CPAers!!
I have been following the forums for a while but I haven't posted before. I thought I might as well get in on the action. I just passed FAR in the past window and now I am on to AUD!! I have gone through A1 and hope to get to A2 and A3 by the end of this week. I really fell out of the study routine when I found out I passed FAR and thought it would be a good idea to just take a couple days off as a reward (never got back to it). Time to get serious!

Manny24MemberDoes anyone know if the distinctions between U.S auditing standards and the international standards are really relevant?
I just started R1 (Becker) and they are A LOT of differences noted between the two standards.
Are you all memorizing the differences?

MintsRGoodParticipant@Manny24 You should definitely familiarize yourself with the key differences between IFRS and GAAS. I think Becker went into CYA mode by throwing absolutely everything and anything in on IFRS, but the Ninja Notes do a very good job of presenting the key differences in a concise way that is easy to memorize and that's about all I can say without violating disclosure rules! π
