Hiya fellow Ninjas

Just finished another amazingly crazy tax season. You'll see me on the audit board for the next little while. I'll be sitting for audit May 29th and have never taken it before, nor have any audit experience. So . .. we'll have to see how this goes.

I'm excited by the fact the AUD book is about half the size of FAR, but I'm going to guess that is deceiving.

I am going through Aud 4 transaction cycles and it's really too much of memorization for me. Is it enough to know which assertions go for each account balances, transactions and disclosures OR do i need to know in detail what the auditor does in each assertion for balances, transactions and disclosures?

This is the second time i am going through this lecture and still i am not able to recall . Auditing is really killing me !

Audit Exam in 4 days….will work M/C for chapter 6 and 5 tonight and rewrite the last section for my Ninja Notes. Tomorrow I have to kill chapter 3 and 4. Friday -chapter 2, read notes and Final Review. AUD here I come! Fighting for a 92! HIYA!!!! Good Luck everyone!

hey, is anyone memorizing what to write for each report. You have the standard intro, scope, (sometime explanatory paragraph), then opinion- for auditing reports, but is anyone memorizing what to write in each one? Or can you look an example, during the test, if a written question asks you to issue a report?

Please guys help me , just surprised that GAGAS standards were updated and these updates are testable . im using becker materials 2012 and downloaded the updates pfd but do not know what to remove, replace , or add. it is just 8 days for my exam.

Hey guys

Just wanted your thoughts. I am taking Audit 4/24. I took BEC 4/8 (still waiting). I am just doing Becker. Here were my practice test results

Test 1

MC: 73/90/80

Sims: 74%

Test 2

MC:70/80/96

Sims:87%

I am just really having a hard time studying for this. I made a study guide and have been going over that and the acronyms. I am looking at the simulations, but to be honest, I either know them or I don't. I think I have a good chance of passing, but I just wanted anyones tips on what to do for the last day. I was thinking; one good last read over the book, look at my study guide (which has random stuff I may not have memorized) and look at the MC q's from the hws and tests I got wrong?

If anyone wants to do some last minute review tomorrow, let me know!

So, my exam was supposed to be on 4/19, but because Boston was on lockdown, it was canceled. I was able to reschedule for this coming Saturday (4/27), but I've just lost all motivation. I was supposed to be DONE right now. Arghh.

Back to studying for the rest of the week.

I am stressed out over this stupid exam. Audit is my last part (conditionally). I take it May 31st, however if I fail I lose BEC May 31st. I have 7 month old at home, just finished tax season, and still work 40 hours a week so I have NO IDEA when/how to study. I am too tired to wake up earlier than I already do with the baby/for work, have close to an hour commute to and from work, see my baby for about 2 hours, shower etc and by that time its after 9pm – how do I study then!? Not trying to totally complain just seeking advice for those who have passed in a similar situation. I study for an hour at lunch and am probably going to purchase the audio for my commute. Need some positivity because I have become quite negative over this exam.

@samantha…get NINJA audio for your commute. I hate to say it, but you are right about complaining…at 9pm just suck it up and put in 2-3 hours and knock this out! You are soooo close!

When taking the exam I could actually hear Jeff's voice from the audio while I was answering questions. It really helps to lock down the main topics and with 2 hours of commute you can listen to it almost fully each day.

BUT, listening is not enough…you need to spend those 2-3 hours blasting away at MCQ's. A little bit of sacrifice now will reap massive dividends once you have your CPA! Find your motivation and go HAM!

BTW, Sleep is for dead people…

Wondering if anyone can provide any insight into this. I took my AUD exam a week ago, and my simulations (except for 1) were way less tricky then I though they'd be. Would this be any reflection of how I did on the MCQs? I know there are different levels of difficulty on the MCQs, but do they affect the difficulty of your Sims as well?
