I take AUD on Monday, April 1. Any words of encouragement?

I'm midway through my final review (Becker) and I'm feeling fairly confident after passing REG.

I just lack some confidence with knowing all the audit procedures that apply to the certain business cycles. Any advice?

It sounds like you're well on your way. Just stick to your plan and you'll be set.

My only test advice would be to READ and REREAD the question before selecting your answer. There are a lot of little curve balls sprinkled into the questions(Compared to the Wiley questions). Don't get in the habit of headhunting for buzzwords. Read everything thoroughly.

Compared to REG, timing shouldn't be an issue. Take bathroom breaks, stretch, eat a snack, drink water.

If you're familiar with using the Authorative Lit, then 2 hours for the SIMs should be enough. If you suck at using the AL(like me), then you might want to give yourself a little extra time.

Can someone tell if “Independence” is required for Assurance Services such as Risk Advisory, Eldercare Services, Performance Reviews, SysTrust

Assurance services – is a broad category of servicies. Audit, attestation and, for instance, consulting – they all can be called “assurance services”

I just memorized that independance is required for all but compilations and consult services

Therefore all the services you named above:Risk Advisory, Eldercare Services etc would not require independance

Also, NOTE: While one must remain objective in performing consulting services,

independence is not required unless the practitioner also performs attest (e.g., audit)

services for that client.

Untill now there are six assurance services identified :-

1. For Risks – CPA Risk Advisory & Eldercare

2. For Performance- CPA Performance Review & Healthcare Effectiveness

3. Assurance about Systems – SysTrust & Web Trust

The answer should be C because the others are covered within the assurance services.

However, an expert opinion would be more appropriate.

i am 3 weeks away from my REMATCH with audit and I am feeling determined to pass this time around, especially since I feel like i have been making a lot of progress in general with these exams and I think i figured out what works and doesnt work for me…

can someone please give me an easy way not to mix up these terms: embedded audit module, test data, parallel simulation. integrated audit facility

also – im three weeks away and have done all becker/wiley tb questions. do you guys think its a good idea to continue doing progress tests/quizzes on the test bank just testing myself on all the question and notes on the questions i get incorrect?

i am also rewriting NINJA notes
