Hi Everyone,

Hopefully I am taking my last exam, which is AUD at the end of this month. I have already failed AUD once because of the SIM’s. The score notification stated that I did well enough on the multiple choice to pass but not good enough on the SIM’s. I have been using Wiley Test bank to practice my SIM’s but it seems to me that those SIM’s are not as hard or as long as the ones on the actual exam. I have been able to pass all the other parts with just Yaeger, Ninja Audio and Notes, and Wiley test bank, but I am not sure if that is going to be enough for AUD.

If you have passed AUD can you please tell me how you prepared for the SIM’s and was the research tab of any benefit to you, not including of course the research questions? I took FAR, BEC, and AUD without knowing that you can use the research tab for all the SIM’s. I know its stupid but I thought that they could monitor what I was trying to research on the research tab and if it wasn’t something related to the research question that they would consider it cheating.- Thank you

Sandro sorry for your previous fail. I took Aud this past month and passed. I was very scared of the sims since I read on the forums here that the Aud sims are very much FAR related. And I had not taken a financial accounting class in 2 years. So naturally I was worried sick about the sims. So I spent half a day going over some basic FAR stuff that I could think of and J/Es and some equity method stuff.

Audit is very difficult to study as it is. Unlike other parts where there are calculations and you can actually get to the correct answer by solving, for audit all 4 choices seem very close to each other. You must know the material well in order to get to the “best” option. I believe for me, it was redoing the MCQs about 3+ times and sims twice and also reading the book 2 times.

Now if only I could do the same for FAR…sigh..lets see!!

Good luck on your retake!! You will do great since you already have covered this material once!!
