Hi all,

Is an engagement letter required for a review engagement? I’ve seen sources say that it both is and isn’t. I’m just not sure.

Any guidance would be highly appreciated.

Yes, it is required.

That's what seems reasonable. But Becker (page 2-54) says that it is “presumptively mandatory” and I've had multiple choice questions that have said otherwise.

Yes it is required based on SSARS No 19 which was issued in Dec 2009.
