AUD question: who makes up cpa exam questions?

    Who makes up the cpa exam questions? Is it the job of the aicpa or the state board?

    But in all seriousness, is it the AICPA or the state board? I had this question in review and cannot find the answer anywhere.

    I want to say the AICPA but I may be wrong

    A - 75
    B - 78 God is good.
    F - 77 Answered prayers.
    R - 84! Done!!

    Paperwork sent - waiting for license!!
    Still on a cloud and in shock. Through God, all things will happen.

    aicpa hire professionals/professors to write these questions. the partner at my firm wrote BEC questions on CAPM in the past. he's not mean, but technical.

    So if there is a question asking who develops the cpa exam questions and choices include the aicpa or the state board, the answer would be the aicpa? Would this be the definitive answer? Without disclosing anything, I find this fact nugget to be important.
