What audit reports are essential to memorize for the exam?

Its good to be familiar with all of them and be able to distinguish them apart from one another.

I wouldn't recommend memorizing them word for word, but you definitely need to be very familiar. If report writing topics come up in a TBS, you can search through the authoritative literature, which contains examples of most of the reports.

AICPA – Monopoly….Thx for your post…so the new test format may ask to write a report from scratch? I have 2009 Becker hopfully that will suffice to pass this part of the exam!!!

You should probably know them to the point where you can identify key phrasing for specific types of reports. Also understand what wording is used for different types of engagements that have varying levels of assurance (or not at all).

I've got a question: Can the word “conclusion” be used instead of “opinoin”? This has been haunting me. Becker makes you memorize opinion, opinion, opinion.. never mentions that conclusion can be used… any thoughts?

For the audit reports I maid a point to actually write all of them out on paper about 10 times each. I started to do this as a main part of my review(2-3 days before the exam). I know this really helped me in two ways. First, I knew if I got a written comm. about the differences between 2 given reports I would get it right, and second it did come in very handy on a handfull of multipe choice questions.

CPAsomeday: I think opinion is the correct word to use….since its an auditor's reponsiblity to express an opinion…am not sure about “conclusion” ?
