AUD progress so far…

So I started studying for AUD on the 18th and I finished A2 last night and have taken 7 progress tests which scores are 88, 86, 93, 83, 83, 86, and 93.

I am contemplating whether I should continue taking progress tests until I get 100% or if I should move forward to A3 and come back to the progress tests when I do a final review. I am planning to take AUD at the end of January. Thoughts?

Keep moving forward and periodically review. Spaced repetition is the most effective way to retain knowledge.

    FAR - 71, 94
    BEC - 91
    REG - 51, 88
    AUD - 89

Keep moving forward. I'm also studying Audit. However, I did all of my lectures over 2 weeks and took 6 legal pads full of notes (one per section). I'm now going through MCQ's in each section and adding to my notes in their respective legal pad. When I've completed all MCQ's I begin to re-write my notes. This was my method for BEC and it's proven. I wouldn't recommend doing it the “Becker way” instead, do it the “NINJA way.”

Food for thought: Progress tests are good to keep you fresh on old material. However, instead of progress tests do a few MCQ's in the same areas. Progress tests do not give you the correct answer explanation right away where MCQ's do. Which is probably more beneficial to your learning.

I agree with the other posts. I was a fan of doing progress tests after each section. Maybe just one or two after each section though until you get to the final review. Your scores on the ones you've done are good. I would vote you move on but make sure to budget some time for progress tests after each section as you progress. This is assuming you are following the Becker structure of lectures => MCQs =>SIMS =>progress test => move on to next section.

IE: Do A3 but make sure you do some A1-A3 progress tests at the end. Do A4 and then A1-A4 progress tests, etc. Then when you get to the final review, A1-A6 progress tests all the way until test day.

    Good luck!

Thank you all for your input! I will do as recommended and keep chugging along.

I just received an e-mail today notifying that my application has been approved to sit so I shall be getting my NTS soon. I will be aiming for January 29th, but we'll see how ready I am 2 weeks from that date as I want to give myself 2 weeks to review everything.

I current use Becker with other supplements and definitely agree with the others on the progress tests. However, do be careful since sometimes too many repetitions start to get you to remember the questions and answers. If you notice that, just move along or space some out. The progress tests is pretty good. Keeps the mind to remember the previous chapters, especially A4 (UGHH) ! Good luck!
