Does anyone have a way to remember the difference between persuasive and convincing audit evidence? I’ve tried to look it up and I keep finding “persuasive vs conclusive.”.

Persuasive = Passable (same first letter). It's evidence that's good enough. It just has to be reasonable to someone with the same skills, experience that has no experience with the client would reach the same conclusion.

Convincing is more like trying to get absolute assurance as if it is a Court of law. You don't need an unbiased eye witness like you would in a legal proceeding to attest to the assertion you are testing as auditor.
