Hey guys, I have AUD on Friday. I just passed BEC (My first pass!) and I want to keep that momentum going. Obviously the holidays and New Year’s have been somewhat an obstacle in my reviewing. I’ve gone through all the MCQ’s in Becker for A1, A2, A3, and A5. I write on an index card the questions I get wrong. I’m working on A4 as I’m writing this. My first practice test was a 66.

Any words of advice to really maximize my studying and make these last few days of reviewing count? Thanks!

I fully memorized the unqualified opinion auditor's report and it paid off…

@accounting adam how so? Lots of MCQ or SIMS on that topic?

Practice SIMS. My last attempt on AUD – MCQ = Stronger, TBS = Weaker. Score – 73.

I would not spend your last few days just memorizing an audit report. All exams are different and you may not see a single thing about what goes into a certain audit report. I'd just hammer all MCQ's

I agree with @Bourne – MCQ helped me something fierce in AUD. Also taking the night off before my exam to recharge and light glancing at notes in the morning ensured I wasn't walking into Prometric half fried.

@Operation_CPA Ive been hammering MCQ's but everyone I talk to says practicing SIMS is a waste of time because they're always so radically different from Becker, Rogers, etc. I suppose it's just luck of the draw.

@job895 Honestly, you're 100% right – it is luck of the draw. The only thing about MCQs is you can weed out answers pretty easily. SIMS require a deeper knowledge of the material and can really demonstrate how well you know (or don't know) something. At this point I really have no excuse for myself but to practice TBS. I guess I am one of the rare individuals where hammering MCQ just doesn't cut it for me. Either way, best of luck to all those sitting – keep the faith!

My first test the not memorizing lingo on the report screwed me big time. This time I got no use for it. Just hammer those MCQs

Understand what an audit is, and why the steps are relevant. Think.

    Then do hella MCQS
