My retake of AUD is on Wednesday. I took tomorrow off to finalize my studying. I’ve watched the lectures, read the book, taken notes, listened to the Ninja Audio repeatedly over the last few months, taken all the MCQs and SIMs in the WTB at least once, and retaken the ones I’ve gotten wrong. I even found over 500 MCQs from my auditing class and went through all of those. What should I do on my last day of studying? I’ve got no job to get to and a the kids are spending the night with their grandparents so essentially I have from 10:00 a.m. tomorrow until midnight to study. Do you suggest more MCQs? Just rereading notes? SIMS practice? What have you found to be the most helpful last minute studying techniques? I really don’t want to take this a third time!

It all depends on how you learn best, but I would:

    – Skip the simulations.

    – MAYBE do some MCQs.

    – Focus most of my efforts on studying my notes.

There aren't very many calculations involved in AUD, so I think it would be best to study your notes and make sure you understand and remember all the concepts rather than just doing simulations or MCQs for practice.

Definitely focus on when and what type of audit report should be issued and definitely focus on the differences between audit/review/compilation, etc.

    REG - 93 (7/30/13)
    BEC - 90 (8/19/13)
    AUD - 98 (8/31/13)
    FAR - 84 (10/19/13)

@CPAMommyof3 It sounds like you are more than prepared for the exam. At this point, any additional study would be incremental. I highly suggest that you do some light review and go to bed early. You really do not want to burn yourself out before the big day. Walk into prometric with some positive energy and tell yourself “You got this!”

    FAR – 80

    AUD – 81

    BEC – 80

    REG – 82

Thanks HJC. I think my problem is that I just don't feel as prepared as I thought I would after all this studying. I will be reviewing my notes today to try to keep everything fresh in my head and I will get a good night's sleep. Thanks for the encouragement!!!

do some mcqs, go through your incorrect responses (understand why you got you wrong). stay fresh by having a good night sleep.

CPAMommy, I am retaking Aud thursday, I know exactly how you are feeling, because I feel the same way. I have logged over 1500 MCQs in the past week, I am now listening and making sure I know every concept in the Ninja Audio, and tomorrow I will be going through the book getting a solid understanding of areas that I have kept track of that i feel less confident on.

I dont feel confident after all of this either, I think it has something to do with the fact that because we didn't get that 78 last time, so its kinda like climbing into the ring with a guy who already kicked our butt. However, we are like Rocky Balboa, we got our butts kicked went back and trained and now we are ready to take the fight to him, we got this.

Wish you luck, and hopefully we will both be standing tall with passing scores come the 21st.
