Hey everyone, I’m taking Audit 4-16. I was originally taking it 4-2 but felt extremely overwhelmed with the material that I had to push it back and revise my study plan. I find it very useful to watch the lecture, than type/write flash cards and review them, than test yourself with the MCQ’s. I use studyblue.com to type my flashcards (Free and has a great mobile app to take them anywhere!).
I'm using the full Becker material (Lectures/MCQS/Flashcards[waste of $]/final review[worth the $]) and Wiley test bank to supplement my studies (worth the $). Every day at lunch I run through a progress test on Becker than after work I spend 4-5 hours a day either watching a lecture, typing/reviewing flashcards, or doing MCQ. I'm on the last chapter of Becker this week (6), than will have two full weeks of final review.
Audit all of a sudden clicked for me and I feel very confident with the material. I would say if you are starting off try to see the big picture first. For example the audit process from start to finish (Engagement acceptance, planning (RMM/Fraud risk), substantive tests, opinion). Than iron out the details by going through the chapters again and working the MCQ.
I would say everyone is right in saying do MCQ, than MCQ, and finally MCQ. It really helped me piece everything together. I hope this helps those who feel overwhelmed in the beginning, I know I was!!!!
