    Hey everyone,

I am using the Becker self study for Audit and am almost halfway throuhg everything. My exam is not until December (Dec. 1st).

However, I am getting CRUSHED on the homework. The worst part is… I am actually an internal auditor!!! I passed FAR.. which has helped me get some of the AUD right.. but seriously, each major concept I have scored anywhere from a 50-67% on… I honestly didn’t focus as well as I should have on the lectures.

At this point, should I just focus on what I have ahead of me… and revisit these other lectures/hw later.. or should I just start completely over and try to score better going forward. (This may leave me pretty rushed to finish by Dec. 1 but I know I would)

Did the same thing happen to you all? Just wondering if I should adopt a new strategy.

    10/13/13 - FAR *PASSED* 76
    12/01/13 - AUD *PASSED* 84
    01/09/14 - BEC *PASSED* 84
    02/27/14 - REG *PASSED* 81

Go through all of the MCQs once and mark questions that give you ANY trouble. When you're done with all the chapters go back and redo all the ones you marked and take notes. Then, keep redoing all the MCQs and Sims you marked until you wanna puke.

    FAR - 87 (7/19/13)
    BEC - 82 (8/29/13)
    REG - 86 (10/18/13)
    AUD - 91 (12/06/13)

Pop vegas I feel your pain I took audit scored a 70 and I have been an internal auditor for 6 years. As an IA we don't have the “client” communication issues that externals have. If I find an issue I just send an e-mail saying “are you kidding me fix this stuff” no scope limitation worries 😉 My score report told me to focus on communication and compiation/review items. It might be the same for you too. Let me know if I can help

I use Becker with a Wiley Nijia supplement. My audit rematch is Dec 4th. Heres hoping we both pass

I would agree with @wowurrcool except the part to do the questions until you poke. Mark the questions you got wrong/you have a hard time understanding, and then go back and re-do the marked questions until you have a very good understanding of the concepts. Also, try to not fall into the fallacy of memorizing the question and getting the right answer just because you've seen the question before.
