does anyone know if the new standards and/or other updates are being tested. I thought in the Roger review course he said usually a year after going into effect, they will start showing up on the test. however, i read they could be tested as early as July 2013…any input is appreciated. thank you

I used Becker version B (new standards only) to study for AUD. At some point during my studies Becker did an update to version B and added a new section that covered the basics of the old standards too. I went over the old once but other than that ignored them. I thought the exam was more conceptual and not at all aimed towards knowing the new vs. old. I wouldn't worry about it. Just FYI my exam had quite a few mcqs on international – wish I had studied this more.

Are the “Clarity Standards” just everything in the new stuff? Not once do they mention “Clarity” in A1 through A4..

Clarity is the new. In Becker version B they mentioned “clarity standards” in the first chapter once – one small paragraph – and then never specifically mentioned it by title again. I noticed some of the mnemonics Becker gave for AUD were different for the two different versions. (clarity and old) I didn't memorize any of them and wasn't tested on any. The exam was very conceptual – do you understand auditing. It wasn't really geared towards the major differences between the old and new. I think if you have Becker just go to their website and get the updates for the clarity – read it a few times and leave it at that – you'll be fine.

Okay sounds good. I used Roger's 2012 book and wiley. thank you for that FYI because i was going to focus on reporting, IC, and audit evidence. You scored an 89 so you cant be mad about that!
