Guys, I have a question about attest engagement. Base on my understand, we can issue exam report, review report and agree upon procedures on attestation engagement, such as MD&A, prospective financial statement, pro forma financial statement, etc. For prospective financial statement, we can only issue compilation report, exam report and agree upon procedures.

Here is my question, since we can't issue the compilation report on attestation engagement, but why we could issue compilation report for prospective financial statement which is attestation engagement, and why we are not allowed to issue the review report on prospective financial statement. Please advice. Thank you!

I took my Audit exam yesterday and I can't stop thinking it. I told myself that since MC is 70% of the test I should use the 3hrs on that to double check my answers and the other 1 and half hours on the 2 sims. I feel confident about the MC but the writing section wasn't my strong suit. I realized that I cant write an essay on a specific topic with the clock winding down while typing on a keyboard. So I am really nervous! Is it possible to still pass even with botching up the writing parts? Also how long will it be until I can find out my results? Waiting to register for the CPA and then studying and then waiting for the grades is giving me gray hairs lol

CPAChi: Just took my exam yesterday, so I am in the same boat. I think another71 says the cutoff is Nov. 5th for Wave 1. So we still got awhile, best you can do is keep it movin'!

Just finished Chapter 1 (with Becker), including all mcqs. I need some advice as to what to study, what to memorize and which chapters are more heavily tested on the exam.

I start today after taking BEC last week, the becker book is smaller I want to say the smallest out of the 3 and makes me worried.

    REG: 5/31/11-73 SMH, 8/31/11-85
    BEC: 4/15/10-72 : retake 10/3/10-80
    AUD: 11/28/10-74, 02/27/11-71 FML, 8/1/11-80
    Ethics 10/22/22-80, retake 11/28/11 - 88

    Hello everyone,

I am hoping to take my first ever CPA test end of November. Do you guys think I have enough time to apply to NASBA, get a NTS and schedule AUD for end of November? How long does it take the NTS to come for a first timer?

DCPA… My NTS took forever to come. A lot depends on which state you are going through but for Minnesota it took me about two months. Some states could be quicker!

    FAR: 78 BEC: 79 REG: 86 AUD: 74, 83 DONE!!!

I am taking the AUD exam for the 2nd time now using the Becker materials. I got a 70 the first time. I had taken one of Becker's fast pass classes and did all the homework MCQ twice, 2 final exams, and the Becker Final Review. What do you guys recommend I do differently the second time or do the same and just try to get it to stick in my head more? Thanks!

Have you read the book in its entirety? Write down the various mnemonics and go over them repeatedly. Understand the various report types and write them down and memorize the.

    FAR 92 - AUD 91 - REG 94 - BEC 86

Oh and another problem I have is that I can narrow the choices to 2 choices that sound good, but when it came to picking the most correct answer it seemed a lot of times I would pick the other one. I like clear cut answers not all this subjectivity that this test presents.

    The info above is solid

Add the Gleim Test Bank to your review.

If you use the Study Mode – review all of the MCQ responses – there is a lot of good info there

During the Study Mode you get the solution after each MCQ

During my AUD test it surprised me that between Becker and Gleim everything looked like I had review the MCQ before

The Becker Books usually have a page which kinda' give a break-down or a weighting per chapter of the percentage of importance the AICPA places on each chapter.

They were in BEC FAR and REG…..and I've now checked twice in the AUD book to no avail.

Does anyone know what “importance” is placed on each of the 5 chapters??

So far the first chapter seems as though it would be more heavily tested than the second chapter….but I haven't progressed into chapter Three yet to see how I THINK it would compare to the first two.

Please help – THANKS in Advance!
