I just looked at Gleim free trial. jsut completed 1st MC session. It looked good. I will work thru to the end and see how I will like it. Those trial questions are different.

Do anyone know if any other courses offer on-line free trials?

If it helps at all I felt the same way I took aud for the 3rd time. I left in tears. In fact, Prometric called me when I got home to let me know I forgot my drivers license there! (yes I was that distraught). I started studying again immediately because I knew I'd be facing the monster for a 4th time in January.

You have no idea how shocked I was to see an 84. You might be surprised too!

@DEN: I am like you…passed all BEC (85), FAR (80), REG (81) the first time, but AUD was my night mare. I finished the first 3 testlets within an hour and a half. Took a nice break to have some snack and drink, so I was very relaxed and was pretty sure I'd nail it…till I saw the SIMs. I did not know and never used the research tab to answer any question (stupid me), until I found out someone suggested that a few days before taking AUD (11/29). But when I tried that to answer one of the SIMs that I had no idea about (we have the same question – the one you mentioned above), it could not help me. There is another SIM that I pretty much guessed all the way. So 2 out of 7 are bombed. The other 5: 2 were okay (I think), 3 (including the research) were very iffy. I'm dreadful that I fail this time because I never found the SIMs such difficult in previous sections. My Becker expires in 5 days, and I only have 2 more chances to finish AUD before the first passed section is gone. I feel so guilty that from all the time I took off to the library, and left my family behind on weekends…with all the promises to my six years old son to spend more time with him when I'm done with my test, and my 3 years old daughter that “mommy will stay home with you more”….I'd have to start it again.

I don't know why audit is so hard. I thought that the material was easy to understand. It was my lowest score but I don't feel like it should have been. I think the curve for audit might be tougher than the other exams.

So what if you passed? Don't get so discouraged!

I failed the first time, because I didn't write down a single thing and didn't know most of the concepts well enough.

I don't even have lectures to watch…and my only source was Wiley.

What I did was:

1) reading Wiley Focus Notes (I've never read the book)

2) doing MCQs, and writing down everything I didn't know, wasn't sure of, or thought was important

The only MCQs I did were the ones from the Wiley textbook (3 times in total, including the first failed attempt) and test bank – all of them in a study mode and only once.

My final review included reading — the focus notes and my notes, twice, and doing the final exam in the book. I got 91% right.

On the actual exam I encountered many frustrating questions. Wiley never prepared me for those. The first teslet was the hardest, in my opinion. The other two contained lots of familiar stuff and some more of the frustrating questions.

The sims weren't that bad. I used the research tab for the two research sims only. My score is 86. I didn't believe my eyes when I saw it. So, you never know 🙂
