So I failed AUD for the second time with a 62( last time with a 52). I have been using Becker, and the last time I felt confident about the MCQs, some of the sims were way off, and from what I’ve been reading/hearing..thats usually the case.

I decided to switch to CPAexcel AUD and give AUD another stab(I’m determined to pass this before the exam changes) and I’m wondering if anyone has any advice for me.

This is frustrating, but I understand that this exam is not an easy one.

For my first and second attempt at AUD, I used Wiley and cpareviewforfree.com.

For my 3rd attempt, I added the Ninja Notes and the Wiley Testbank. I rewrote the Ninja notes 10 pages per day, and did 100 MCQ's per day for 30 days and improved my score significantly.

Remember you can use the Authoritative Literature on ALL the SIMS, not just the research question(s). Leave yourself plenty of time for the SIMS and even if you're 90% sure on a concept look it up in the AL to be sure.

I have not touched AUD. Will it get harder with the SAS, or do you just not want to study new material since you put in so much time studying for the exam as it sits today? I think I have no choice but to wait for the July window to study AUD, but I wonder if the SAS stuff is harder?

Pretty sure that is what killed me last time. I just had no idea where to check in AL in these two sims… I tried my best with my knowledge and it wasnt enough.

I'm on deck for my third attempt at Audit on 4/16 and I am implementing the 10/pgs per day of ninja notes (goal is 3 times recopied before exam day) and focusing on quality of notes and MCQS vs. volume. I also think that 4-5 weeks is the appropriate amount of time for prep on this one! Last time I prepped for 8 weeks, did 2000+ MCQS, absurd sims, only to receive a worse score the second time than when I studied for 2 weeks the first time. On my score report, my “weaker” topics were the ones from weeks 1-3 on my study schedule…ugh. Efficient and effective is the way to go!!!! 😉

I'm in the same boat, going for try #3 w/ AUD. Been using CPAexcel for all sections. Going to supplement the Ninja 10 Point Combo in this time. Not sure what it is about AUD that I'm not getting like the other sections.
