    Dont know what to do and feel defeated

    Just got my score this morning from TX – 68

    Retake 1st week of JAN-2014

    I just dont know how to pass AUD-

    Strong on MCs and Weak on SIMs

    AUD--52,68,83, expired. Retake = 74 RETAKE - 7.24.26
    FAR--73,70,68,75
    BEC-- 79
    REG-- 68,62,75

    23K – I am right there with you. Just took my first attempt at AUD (first CPA exam ever actually) and received a 73. I was stronger on all MCQ sections but weaker on the SIMS. I knew those SIMS killed me though when I walked out of the exam, I was just hoping everyone else had trouble as well but it looks like that was not the case. I am trying to figure out a way to nail down a study routine for Jan as well but am not totally sure what I need to do. I wrote some great notes going through the first time and I think that helped me a lot on multiple choice, so I will probably just go over notes and then MCQ's but for the simulations, I used Becker and don't feel like doing those again would do much good. I feel like I somehow need to learn how to use the Authoritative literature and utlitize it but am not sure how to really go about doing that. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. There were a few SIMS that I am not even sure the literature would have helped and that is what scares me going forward. Not sure what to change with my study plan except do more SIMS? Ugh the brutal SIMS…

    I used Becker review + flashcards, Ninja Audio, Ninja MCQ supplement on BEC and REG.

    Another poster on another post suggested taking FAR before AUD since AUD = auditing FAR. I'm assuming you didn't take FAR yet since you commented that two of the SIMs seemed like they should have been on FAR… which should not be an issue if you had done FAR already. I'm not being very eloquent today (ever), but what I'm trying to say is maybe doing FAR first will improve your understanding of AUD?

    I thought I had my best chance at passing AUD because I was doing the best in WTB; averaging about 85% on the MCQ.

    However, I only made it through 400 of the WTB questions. How long did it take to get through all the WTB questions twice?

    Not that it made a difference, but I am glad I went through the practice AICPA test and the AICPA released questions. I forget which one, but one had very similar SIMS to what I saw on the exam. Very FAR like, which worried me and of course I got them on my actual exam.

    I saw the same post @runnerup saw. It's making me think I'll schedule AUD after FAR.
