Starting 4/1 the AUD exam has 5 testlets: 2 mcq testlets 36 each; 3 TBS testlets: 1 with only 2 TBS, the other 2 have 3 or 4 I think. Are we required to get at least 75 on all 5 testlets, individually, to pass? Meaning, if I got 99 on 4 testlets, and 74 on another, would I fail?

Judging by your scores all these exams are belong to you.
    Basically don't worry!

    BEC: 80
    REG: 75
    FAR: __, ?/2016

SiXiam has the right idea. Not sure if anyone but me will understand his reference, but he's right. And to answer your question, the AICPA weights questions differently, so you could blow it on an two or three sims (or more, since no one knows the weight of each question) and still score well on the exam. There are people out there who've left sections blank and still scored admirably.

RockLobster: So, I understood you needed to pass each individual testlet with a 75. Is that correct?

My concern is, if I'm required to score 75 on a testlet with only 2 SIMS…

@Paydirt123, even the AICPA wouldn't know how to score them for some time. That's why they are taking additional 10 weeks to decide. We are going to have to do our part and hope for the best. Isn't that always the case?

my understanding is that it's all about overall points, not percentages

im not sure if they are changing the 60/40 percentage weight of the mcq vs. the sims, but if im correct, you still only need a cumulative 75 points to pass.

For AUD, FAR, and REG, MCQs will be weighted 50% and TBSs will be weighted 50%.

BEC will be weighted 50% for MCQs, 35% for TBSs, and 15% for written communications.
