Am I crazy? Opinions Requested

So here’s the situation: I just started studying for AUD and it is seeming pretty easy so far. I decided to take one of the Becker finals just out of curiosity and got a 70* on the first testlet. I know that’s not a stellar grade but upon review, it seemed like the questions that I did miss were just sort of silly oversights on my part. I had a really good audit professor in the final semester of my undergrad and I feel like the material is still with me pretty well. I am currently scheduled to take AUD on July 3rd but there is an opening in two days. Am I crazy to go ahead and move it up, study a couple concepts that seem unclear over the next two days, and go for it? Has anyone else tried AUD with primarily just the knowledge gained in school? I truly appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Note: *This is the same score that I got on the final exams for FAR after studying for 5 months.

Nothing crazy about it … but I would think it would be crazy if you felt pissed if you happened to fail it.

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

I say go for it. Even if you fail, it'll be nice practice

Those stupid silly things are what AUD is, a very tricky exam. Obviously it is up to you. It's your money. I'm not sure I'd recommend moving it up, but I have no idea where you're at with the material. A 70 on a practice exam might be a good measure, it might not be.

For me if I was getting 70s consistently leading up to the exam I wouldn't be comfortable. I'd want to average at least 75s.

@KbinMN he means 70 on the final practice exam. The one that has been proven by A71 alum to result in a higher score in actual exams as compared to becker final exam.

Yes, probably a bit crazy. But I finished audit and advanced audit in school, then crammed for 2 weeks and sat for AUD and passed with room to spare. I didn't feel comfortable enough with auditing with technology or international auditing with what I learned in school to sit. But maybe I still would have passed with even less cram time. Who knows.

Just get in as many MCQs as you can, so you can practice how they ask the questions and where you go wrong in answering them. Focus on learning the material and not the score. The only score that matters is from exam day.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)
