Hey guys,
I just took FAR yesterday (first CPA exam experience) and had a terrible overall experience. I found to the multiple choice to be difficult, and the simulation to be flat-out impossible. The amount of guessing and filling in arbitrary numbers/journal entries I did for my simulation was outrageous. I seriously wanted to kill someone when my time expired. However, I am okay with the idea of repeating FAR, I know this a difficult test and I’m hoping I gain something from this experience should I have to sit for FAR again.
Now having said that, I am scheduled to take Audit on 7/21. I start studying tomorrow. I am using the Becker Self-Study material. I studied very hard for FAR, read through the book multiple times and worked as many problems as time permitted. But this preparation turned out to be insufficient based on yesterday’s experience.
So I wanted to know if anybody has any advice for studying for Audit with the Becker Self-Study (anything I should pay close attention too, any cautions with the lectures/book material, any studying habits that were successful) or if anybody
can shed some light on what I should expect with the Audit test?
Any comments are very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
