Okay so I’ve failed Audit twice before with a 69 then a 74. It has been suggested to me that I should supplement my current study material. I’ve been using Beckers but the material isn’t giving me the level of understanding that I need to pass and Ninja notes did not help me much (sorry Jeff). Any suggestions for effective (and preferably affordable) supplementary material?

I would highly suggest Ninja MCQ. I know that may sound biased but it's what took my FAR from 67 to 82 in one month's time. I didn't use it for AUD and you can see how that turned out, too. The question explanations, links, etc. are amazing in helping to really understand the material. Plus at $47, it's a great buy.

I would also highly recommend NINJA MCQ. This helped me to get a 79 after failing twice with a 74! The adaptive module is really good and the explanantions are great to help you also get a better grasp at everything. You may already know the content, so NINJA MCQ will help you to take it to that next level of understanding. Strive to acheive a 85% trending and it is almost a sure thing that you passed. I passed BEC using only NINJA MCQ with an 84, so I can attest to it working. I hope this helps!

We will live by what we believe. But Becker is the gold standard. It can seem overwhelming at first, but if you chew off a little a time, you'll be alright. Becker works. I know for AUD I just read the book.

you have to see the high level purpose of AUD before you start digging into the details. Every time you read something, ask your self why and how it relates to the definition of providing reasonable assurance.

I like Becker, but I also agree that Ninja MCQ is a wonderful supplement for both review and retake. You can't beat the price either! Good luck!

I agree with Cessna. Audit is so weird, judgmental and touchy that you need to understand the whys. Use professional skepticism and read the book in better detail (or try it with a chapter) and see if you improve. If not, rock out Ninja MCQ's. Both are very effective!

Thanks all for your replies but I think I'm definitely adding in Ninja MCQs. Becker has worked for me on the other 3 parts of the exam but then again those exam topics were not foreign to me. Auditing just doesn't click with me and it's not that I don't understand the end game of an audit, I actually do. Still it is great advice to drill down deeper into each of the chapters since I'm obviously not understanding something. I'm just ready for this to all be over!
