    Hello,

I am having a tough time with audit and so have given myself 3 weeks to review. I completed all the chapters and still a little shaky in some areas…I have no audit experience and it seems like when I try to remember one topic, the information I just learned goes right out the door…

Do any of you have any recommendations as to what worked for you (besides obviously working tons of MC)? I’m afraid that if I focus too much on the MC I will not learn the underlying conceptual background and framework…

    Should I…..

    1) Review/reread every chapter and re-watch the lectures? (Should I write out notecards?)

    2) Mainly focus on chapter 3 & 4? In Becker?

    3) Anything else? I’m so nervous about the test…can’t fail…

    AUD- 97 1x
    REG- 81 1x
    BEC- 79 1x
    FAR- 88 1x

    DONE!

    10/1/12 to 2/28/14

NINJA notes and non-stop MCQ's worked for me. Maybe NINJA Audio and non-stop MCQ's will work for you. When you get questions wrong, go back and review the section to try and understand why.

Definiely write out the answers/explanations to each problem you worked (Jeff's advice). It helped me remember the material much better than just reading…

I'd say for the ones you get wrong and the ones you only got right because you guessed (I know from experience). My fingers hurt afterward and I actually ran out of ink once, lol

A lot of Audit is memorization and being able to recall different reports and the rules for different opinions.

Put together diagrams or mnemonics to help you easily recall what opinion to give and what the report consists of.

Understand the audit risk model inside and out.

Go back to the areas you are weak on, and listen to the NINJA audio and take notes.

Work MCQ and SIMS on those areas until you feel strong in them.

Practice the research. Seriously, practice it a lot. I would even go as far to say look at a sim (not the actual research sims) in your text and see if you can use the AL to research for an answer to the sim. I can't remember how many, but at least 4 of my SIMS on exam day were in the AL. I used the AL on test day to find answers to SIMS and I left, confident those sims were perfect.

    Good luck!
