Hi Guys,

I just found out I failed on Aud again yesterday and the score decreased from 73 to 68, and I felt pretty discouraged and depressed on what to do next. I’ve been using Becker along and went over materials and MCQs twice. Now I’ve been thinking to get some supplements, any recommendations?

I also got my score report and it shows my weak area is “Assessing risk and developing a planned response” and “Performing further procedures and obtaining evidence” with respect to content area, and Simulations with respect to item type. So I’m just wondering how to improve those areas.

To be honest, I didn’t practice SIMs at all during my past two preps because I’ve heard the SIMs on exam are pretty different than the ones on Becker. Now I am seriously thinking about to practice SIMs more, so does anyone have any recommendations on Sims preps?

start with practicing sims and start with what you have first. Gleim has great sims.

Look at the SIMS on the AICPA site (sample exam). Then look for similar (in terms of length, difficulty etc.) SIMS in your Becker materials. You're VERY unlikely to pass without doing SIMS.

Your scores are actually quite impressive for only studying MCQs

I agree with above-for AUD I would highly recommend Ninja-the MCQ are awesome and their SIMS were actually great at helping me pass.

I’m sorry to hear! I was in your shoes last month with a second failure on audit!

I couldn’t pass AUD with just Becker either and supplemented it with Ninja MCQ and Surgent CPA (they’re identical, so choose one of them) I honestly believe those two were the reasons how I got over the hump to pass AUD this go around! I did almost every SIM in each of those two programs (along with Becker’s) but still ended up with a weaker on it, so don’t really have an effective way to study those. I did get stronger on all the MCQ sections except “Performing additional procedures (weaker) so I feel their MCQ bank preps you really well for it!
