    @nick

Thanks! Do you think there will be any sims related to sampling?

I personally found the test way too easy, I finished both sets of multiple choice in under an hour (easier than the becker mock exam, which I did the mcq at that pace, averaged a 88% between both MEs), the research question was a very quick find.

My recommendation for anyone taking this exam, be able to do the MCQ quickly, having over 3 hours for SIMs made them very easy. Also brush up on basic FAR adjusting entries and other FAR topics that overlap with your audit material. A lot of the topics you won’t be able to prepare for with any of the review course sims, so just practice MCQ on all chapters.

I didn’t walk out feeling great today. And I’m pretty sure I got the freakin research question wrong which I NEVER do. I’m still very irritated about this. It was crazy impossible to find the answer which I don’t think I did. Is there partial credit for getting the “”AU-C” part right??kidding, not kidding.

I’m a slow test taker always have been. First testlet wasn’t bad. Second got harder, there were some weird things on there that I’d never seen. So idk.. I flagged a bunch of stuff here. Not feeling so great about it.

Testlet 3 was decent. Think I got that probably 60-70% right here’s to partial credit.

Testlet 4: one sim was wtf. Research was wtf. Third sim maybe got some of it right.

Testlet 5: don’t feel so great about any of the TBS. Probably again 50% correct across the board.

So yea think the research is going to cost me and I’ll be retaking this b#%*#

@allsheneededwassome I took AUD yesterday too, and definitely felt similarly walking out. Half of the SIMs I felt good about, the other half are anyone's guess. My second testlet was noticeably harder, but I was more shocked about the gray area–so many involved judgment calls between two that I specifically had in my notes as both options, depending on the professional judgment of the auditor. Frustrating that so many don't come down to what you know so much as the right guess…

@CSANCHEZ: I know it’s crazy. I went back and changed answers to some of the questions on testlet 2 which is never a good idea but I just couldn’t pick. We shall find out in a 10 days…

I took it too and felt terrible walking out. I studied so much but I just was between so many answers, and I switched a lot of the ones that I put. Also I finished with no time left.

I am not sure if I am going to move on to the next section or wait for this score.

No Q2 thread yet I guess but I'm taking AUD April 9th. I'm already 18/20 on Gleim chapters so I have a ton of time to review everything this time I guess. I was expecting AUD to be the most difficult section for me since I have no experience in audit and my grad program only required one course on it. But going through the material it just seems really easy compared to the two sections I already took (FAR and BEC). I need to be careful not to be overconfident I guess and study it like I did the previous two.

My plans once I finish the last 2 chapters are my usual. Doing MCQ's and identifying weak areas to restudy. More MCQ's from just those areas. Then keep identifying and hammering down on weak areas until there aren't any left. I also will do the AICPA sample test at some point. I'm on the fence about buying Ninja monthly to supplement, but I probably will.

Then I'll just have REG left. Not sure if I will try to fit REG into the end of the Q2 test window or stick with my original plan of taking it in July. Because of these stupid delayed score releases that would be the difference of 3 months for getting my license. I really don't want to cram REG in, though, because I'm in the running for the Watts-Sells award. I would like to get it just because I think it would be a great achievement that I could take pride in, even if it doesn't impact my career at all.

Oops, I meant April 6th, not 9th, and too late to edit. Sorry for double post. 🙂

I took AUD last week and felt OK with MC but bad for Sim. Is there anyone had the same feelings and still pass AUD?

I took AUD last Friday and I did not feel confident about it, the second MCQ test was tricky I flagged a couple of questions and the last TBS booklet I didn't feel 100% on my answers.
Im studying for REG right not because I don't want to let me NTS expire but I want to study for AUD again smh…

It really sucks that you leave the exam and literally have no way to gauge how you did. I left FAR feeling like I failed and ended up with an 82…I left feeling like I failed this one but my brain didn't feel as fried as after FAR. Here's to waiting 7 more days…..I hope we all pass

Hi guys, I need some advice. I am planning on taking AUD mid-late April 2018. I just started studying with Becker, and I'm already overwhelmed with the amount of detail! How would you recommend I study? I really want to pass on my first try!!

    Hello,

I'll be taking Audit in April. This is my first CPA exam so I'm quite nervous. With full time MBA and part time job, I seriously doubt my chances at this exam. I'm taking Becker course. Read the book, doing MCQs and TBSs provided in the course. Will take Becker Mock exams provided with the course. Do I need to do something else? Any other source to practice from? any other question bank recommended or doing Becker would be enough? Please need serious tips for Audit Exam. 🙁
