@ineedthiscpa45…all the best on Saturday! Review your high-level notes and do multiple progress test focusing on your trouble areas. Rest in between and during the first 5 minutes of the intro screen, write down the time you need to move at to finish the exam timely. It seems to help me because I can never finish early but with that I do finish on time at least.

    Hi guys!

Hope everyones had a productive study day.

I am alittle confused on to what will be newly tested in Q1 of 2018's AUD exam. From my Becker notifications, it says that the new Unmodified reports for issuers will now be tested, but nothing else?

Is that right? Does that mean I should forget about the old report format and just remember that the new formats are Opinion Paragraph, Additional Paragraphs and the Basis for Opinion? Would the Emphasis of Matter and Other Matters Paragraphs be placed immediately after?

    Best,

I'm sitting wednesday morning for the first time. My nerves are really starting to get to me. I scored an 83 on Wiley's practice test last night, so that made me feel slightly better. The document review sims always throw me for a loop! Any last minute tips you guys have?

    Goodluck everyone!

I took the Audit Exam today for the first time. I used Becker for my study materials. I walked in feeling prepared for the exam and left feeling like I needed audit work experience to complete the exam within the time frame. I finished with 8 minutes to spare. Iā€™m not sure what else I could have done to prepare for it. Does anyone have any tips on how to approach the audit exam for someone with a tax background? I would be very surprised if I passed.

I wouldn't stress until you get your score. I've seen countless people say here and elsewhere that they were sure they had failed just to receive an 80+. I sit Wednesday, and I'm pretty nervous. Did you take any practice exams on Becker? If so how did they compare with the real thing?

good luck to all of you!…my exam is in 2 weeks and i am a nervous wreck right now šŸ™

i took becker mock exam #1 for bec and scored in high 50's and got a 77 on the real thing. i remember taking mock exam for FAR as well and did poorly on it but managed a 75 on the exam and unfortunately, the credit to it expired as i wasn't able to finish rest of them in 18 months. so if you have the time, i would highly recommend you attempting it

@shoudlabeenacowboy, yes I took both Becker mock exams. I scored 73 & 86. The MCQs were similar but not the SIMS.

    @famh110
, congrats on passing BEC & FAR! That is awesome. I passed REG with Becker but not BEC. I scored a 69 on the practice exams for BEC and on the actual exam.

I wish you both well on your exams. Please post an update afterwards.

Going to sit for AUD in a week. What's everyone's study plan for AUD? I have seen some people drilling MCQs like mad, and just focus less on SIMs. I am going to grind Roger's exam simulator all day and track my progress just like what I did for FAR. That's probably how I am going to study for the SIMs while working on MCQs at the same time. Internal Control and Audit Evidence are the struggle..

For those sitting very soon, simply believe in yourself! Don't let the nerves swallow you whole!

For those who have taken AUD already and waiting for scores, I'm crossing both my fingers and toes for you!

I have read that SIMs are pretty impossible to study… but for those of you who already took AUD, what do you wish you would have done to prepare more for the SIMS? I am taking my first CPA exam next Friday and do not know what to expect for the SIMS. I am using Becker to study, thanks!

Are flowchart symbols/diagramming a thing on the TBS? I hope not…

I would suggest do all becker SIMS focusing on all subjective topics and research tabs too. Research tasks also confuses a lot and sometimes consumes lot of time.

Practice Practice Practice is the Key. Try to finish each Sims between 10-15 min.

I was working on the sample exam today and wanted to see if there are AICPA provided explanations or calculations for the SIMS?

I can swear I saw the DRS in Roger lectures but i cant find it now, my access has expired so i will keep searching in the textbook. Has anyone seen any of those SIMS in the course materials anywhere? The Inventory Reconciliation and the DRS Sims were so not fun.

Anyone using Becker 3.1 for Q1 AUD?
I read about there will be some changes in the materials, don't want to spend time learning things that won't show on the exam, can someone please advise?
thanks so much and best luck to everybody!

@fxbinbin i'm using becker, i'm retaking AUD on 2/3, when you go thru becker, i believe each module you use will tell you this material wont be “testable until Q3-2018” i've been switching back and forth from v3.2 and v3.1 when the disclaimer in the lectures that state that. hope that helps
