    I agree w/ mla. If he was that that that that thatttttttttt smart, he would have passed both far and reg in first attempt w/ also 2 days of studying. The fact that he didn't prove the point. I think he got lucky to get the questions that he knew. But at the same time, I do think he's smart enough to know enough to be able to do those questions that he got.

    FAR 5/14 88 PASSED!
    REG 7/13 74 :((((((((....! I cant believe it!!!! I studied so hard...
    REG retake 11/29 -> 89!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BEC 10/11/12 -> 84!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    AUD 10/25/12 -> 95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm DONE! OMG 8 months of hard work.

    I SHALL PASS. BECAUSE IT'S ME, SO EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!

    @Chrisbrown How dare you insinuate that test takers screw themselves when they go to the test center and don't give their best effort. Good grief.

    I didn't study at all for REG the first time, and I don't do REG every day at work. There's a huge difference for me between REG and AUD. REG is the most difficult of the four no question. AUD is hands down the easiest, for me.

    @candothis

    Huh? What are you talking about?

    @candothis: I don't think that's what he was trying to do.

    Chrisbrown– I am so happy for you…congratulations on passing your AUD. Clearly you are a very smart person and the fact that you have Auditing background has helped you a lot. I honestly do not understand some of the negativity on this thread. I agree with Sandra that hearing news like that could be very motivating. I have my FAR test tomorrow and I definitely could not pass with only 2 days of studying but hearing that you passed with minimal studying makes me feel good and actually encouraged me. Reagrdless of how many hours you studied for and the method you used, you passed the exam so enjoy it and celebrate…good luck on REG.

    @chris

    I could care less how much time you (or anyone else for that matter) spend studying in order to pass. I'm just curious what the purpose of this thread is? Is it the subconscious ego boost? Or is it to show people that you don't need to spend a lot of time stressing about the hours you spend studying?

    If you could care less, then why did you open it?

    I started this when I rolled over this morning and to my surprise passed. I didn't think I was going to pass. I felt okay coming out of the testing center, but I figured there was no way it was going to happen. Clearly some people can't handle it when somebody else does something easily that they have struggled with. I wasn't trying to be an ass. Get over yourself.

    I don't get why people are hating on you because you passed with minimal study.

    People celebrate passing with posts all the time. You deserve to brag a little. If you are like me, most of your friends probably don't give a shit if you passed… so its nice to get some recognition from people who can empathize.

    I haven't taken AUD, but I passed reg with about 100+hrs of studying and am taking BEC in 2 days with prob about 80 hours.. so i am just another average CPA candidate…. But, you best believe I want to pass with no studying!

    Congrats dude!

    Well when a thread gets like 40 responses in a short period of time I get suckered in, but I still don't care about the time spent because everyone is different. Its great that you passed, and please don't take my response as being high and mighty about myself, I was just curious if there was some insight you had to offer or if it was simply to antagonize. Even if you didn't intend to rile up some people, you have to know that you will in a forum like this.

    You did offer some insight into people over thinking and/or getting stressed about the exams, which I would agree with you on. However you didn't make that comment until 5 or 6 posts into the thread, so it appeared you created the thread just to gloat, and I was curious. I just wasn't sure if this is the place for it without expecting backlash from at least a few individuals. If you feel like I'm out of line on that, I won't respond anymore, no worries.

    I can confirm that dmtilton. Not only do none of my friends give much of a shit that I passed, they really have no idea how difficult this test is to pass.

    When I pass REG on Saturday though, the party is going to be on.

    well, congratulations to you Chris.

    Guess it is a mixed feeling for me too. Like Eel, said it does cheapen the effort of people who work hard. Perhaps that isn't your intention, and you have bragging rights, but please do consider what other people are going through. Every aspect of the original post is double-edged. What is encouraging to some, might be discouraging to the rest. “Why if he can do it in 2 days, 2 weeks should be good! or why is it taking me more than 2 years, I should just give up. etc .”

    I am glad for one thing though. You said you took a practice test in Wiley and reviewed all the answers? Not very many people do that, and you are right, it seems like people pound multiple mcqs. That is something often overlooked. I took aud today, and had I more time to study, I would have taken your advice. But haha, I didn't even finish covering the material. Sure it is a retake for me.

    Also, if I can't manage audit still, I will be sure to find a job in it before my scores expire, hopefully that will save me. haha.

    So congratulations, you smart bastard(very congratulatory and spiteful) hahahah

    Reading this thread has given me some perspective. I can't begin to explain.

    For the record…

    it's I “COULDN'T” care less, not I COULD care less

    eg: I couldn't care less about how many hours any of you spend on these exams because I ran out of ****s to give today

    BEC- 80
    REG- 68, 71, July
    AUD- 61 , 84
    FAR- -- 75 🙂
