I have passed FAR, REG & BEC and have AUD coming up on July 12th. I have a question for those who have successfully passed a section recently.

I passed the other 3 exams before I started work so have spaced out my study time over 2 months rather than my traditional month. I feel like the material I studied at the beginning is somewhat still with me but not as much as the more recent material.

In leading up to my exam in this final 2 weeks – should I start studying backwards? Keep in my mind, I’m off work for the whole time leading up to this monster!

I’m thinking of reviewing the most recent material first and work backwards to the oldest material so it will be fresher in my mind than the material i have studied more recently. What do you guys think?

I would also like to hear successful review stories from those that started reviewing for the test 2 weeks before the exam.

Know the reports front to back. What type of wording is in them, how many paragraphs, where said paragraphs are, what type of report for what type of findings…

It is no surprise that the report (the final product of an audit, the culmination if you will) is heavily tested.

And I would definitely hit older material up again if you are feeling iffy on some of it. Just go through some MC questions of the older stuff and focus on topics where you get the questions wrong.

Good luck in wrapping up this beast!

I agree with Kmaahs about the reports. Besides your review book do you have a summary you can review such as Wiley's Focus Notes or Ninja Notes?

I would concentrate the reports, a summary such as Ninja Notes, and redo the MC questions.

You may find the AUD exam to be your easiest since you passed all the other parts and have 2 weeks to review (which should be plenty of time for AUD). I was disappointed to find out that I didn't score in the 90s on the exam. I think you will do quite well on it, so only worry enough about it to motivate you to study for 2 more weeks.

I use Becker and have the 2013 version which was updated for the new AUD materials. I also purchased the new 2013 Becker supplemental questions for AUD.

I don't know why I am psyching myself out over this test. It is the least amount of material of all the tests and seems to be more memorization based but the fact that it is my last section is really stressing me out. I'm about to be reviewing relentlessly for this test.. I want to be over with the CPA exam so bad.

As others have said know the reports very well. And by this I mean the standard qualified unqualified but also the more obscure ones for reviews compilations and all the other types that are in Becker.

Also, use the Becker simulations to practice your searching skills in the authoritative literature. I saved 145 for the sims and took the clock down to five minutes scouring the AL for sim answers. I found 3 of the sims word for word and another one almost word for word.

Also just really make sure you slowwww down and read and reread the MC questions on the exam.

Hope this helps and good luck!

I was in the same boat as you last month, but missed this test due to not going through all the review material again.

Make sure you read the questions VERY carefully.

Since this is your last test, you most likely know how to manage your time in the actual exam. Know that this test can seem very short (because of the short MCQs) and they might seem simple. Give yourself time to go through the MCQs one at a time, don't rush. They are sometimes tricky.

I found I was weaker in MCQs and stronger in Sims, total shock there because I thought I did well on MCQs. Just goes to show I wasn't paying attention to what they were asking.

Final advice, continue memorizing material up until test day. Good luck!!

I have to take my exam this Saturday. Ugh. I'm reaching the phase where I just want to be done and over with it so I can move on. Hate that we have to wait until after August 5th to get our score backs for this testing window, too.

I've been staying steady and just pushing out MCQ's like a mad man. Every time I do a session I learn something new (i.e. get something wrong, or get a question out of left field), but I feel like I have the basics and beyond so mastered and nailed. I really do hope it is enough.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.
