I took AUD on 11/28/16.
This is my third section of the CPA Exam. This may be my toughest one of the four sections because this section does not have much “fun” math. I am not sayin’ that I hate AUD.
After the AUD exam, I walked out feeling groggy and displeased as though I thought I have failed. But I was confident in the CPA Exam because of my really high scores in FAR and REG with 97 and 96, respectively. The MCQs in the first testlet are good, second testlet are wordy and hard, and third testlet “easier” than the second. I thought I did not do well in the second testlet.
When I got my score back on 12/08/16, I have a:
88
I thought I got like a low 80’s (80-83) or even a high 70’s (75-79) but I was a bit surprised about my actual score. I’ll take that. I did not use the AL to find the answers but at least I got most of my sims correctly without using the AL. Thanks to my retained knowledge that I had experience in auditing with a CPA who is a real auditor and my auditing course in college with an A.
AUD does not mean that it does not have math at all. In the AUD sims, I rather like to see ratios calculated (analytical procedures) and fixing journal entries because they are fun. Unfortunately, there was a tiny bit of math (less than 0.005% of the content), so I did not use a calculator. If I would have at least 2 AUD sims that are fun (unfortunately, none for my actual AUD exam), I would have got at least a 90 or [you know what I mean].
I stayed optimistic. I suggest most CPA Exam candidates to do this, just to be happy. 🙂
After this, I have BEC to go. I will make it!
