All,
I’ve been out of school for 15 years and decided to take the CPA exam and I am not an accountant or auditor by trade. I started with AUD. I bought Ninja notes, Ninja Audio, Yeager/Wiley Audio, Wiley Test Bank, and Wiley Study Books. About $500 in all for materials. I mostly listened to audio on my commute, read and re-wrote Jeff’s notes and did multiple choice questions. I passed AUD with an 89 on my first try. Thank you Another71.
A quick note about what it takes to pass. I am an extremely busy small business owner with 3 kids. Taking this test is all about chipping away at the content and MCQ (a little bit every day). I focused on one section at a time. At some point you get to a knowledge level the remaining challenge is only selecting the most likely answer in a series of poorly written non-sense MCQ presented in riddle format. Add some Yoga/Meditation into your life so you don’t build up anger at how difficult the test questions are in relation to how simple the concepts are.
