How long do private companies (non issuers) have to hold audit documentation

    I know for PCAOB issuers, the length of time is 7 years minimum. Can’t find information about non PCAOB companies.

    “…auditor should adopt procedures to retain audit documentation for a period sufficient to satisfy legal or regulatory requirements, and to meet pratice needs. However, such periods should be at least 5 years form the report release date.”
