Wrote Audit Today – DRS Format Were Not I expected

Glad to finish my other round of Audit section. I always like this section for the reason that I don’t have to study much. It’s mostly theory, reading the new updates and my little background in reviewing financial statements for NPOs many years ago, makes it more doable for me.

My exams, since paper form, have been part of my reviews. I got lucky three times, and after today, the NEW Audit section format is doable. The DRS format puzzled me though, compared to the one I wrote in March 2017 and what the format they were showing out there (i.e. YouTube), aren’t what I expected. But I would say, it’s doable.

Did I pass? I hope so. I finished on time. A little surprise for some of the questions, but as what the others where saying here, it’s kind of ‘easy exam’. I did said this too during my March 2017, but I got myself the 50s (lowest in all my exams). Maybe, it was the DRS format, I wasn’t well prepared in March 2017, got messed up in answering them.

Though today’s DRS format wasn’t I expected and prepared for the August (22nd) 2017 exam. It was a pleasant CPA exam experience for me. I love the NEW large handheld calculator the Prometric were giving out.

Good luck to you my fellow mighty CPA exam candidates.

I agree that the sims format is really different from Q1 since they switched over. The exams I have taken with the new format is definitely a more task-based approach rather than reciting information. I quite preferred the old exam since I'm weaker on the sims. You got a handheld calculator for the exams? I didn't get one for either of the new exams I took! That's lucky. Maybe Prometric is inconsistent with handing them out at my testing center.

Best of luck to you too!
