univegabwMemberI took AUD this morning and came away feeling drastically under prepared. I seemed to have gotten medium, hard, medium but honestly couldn’t tell you if that is the case or not. Sims were a mixed bag of doing well on a few, bombing one for sure, and probably not too bad on the others.
I’ll find out in a month!
Start BEC studying in a week.

univegabwMemberI definitely got a couple questions similar to the Test bank, but then I got a ton that just were a different focus than I felt prepared for I suppose. It's my first attempt I'm just feeling that roller coaster moment before a score is released. Anyone else kind of enjoy the adrenaline rush of sitting down at the computer?

yourmomsaCPAParticipantI felt the same exact way – maybe it's normal. I flagged about 20 questions but I'd gamble that I got half of the right (could of missed some I didn't flag though). The SIMs were tough and again, could've gone either way. I had 2 research SIMs and they were BOTH tricky. :/
FAR - 87 2/18/14
AUD - 84 4/2/14
REG - 87 7/23/14
BEC - 78 8/26/14I'm finally an *official* CPA - TX

You will have people tell you not to study for sims because as you study for the MCQ you learn the material needed for the sims.
For financial that worked for me. I was planning on spending a whole study session on just practice sims but I never could fit it into my schedule. I think the only other way you can really study sims is to just do practice sims over and over and over!
For financial and aje's, I just tried to write out an AJE for every MCQ question I answered. It really helped me with bonds,pensions, notes payable, and leases!
{R: PASSED!! (I passed one!)}
{B: PASSED!! (Halfway there!)}
{F: PASSED!! (1 left!!!)}

QuinacridoneMemberI just got back…i did the whole test in just over 2 hours. I don't know about my testlets – they all seemed to be a mix of medium with a few things thrown in that I hadn't seen before and had no idea on. There were some things that I was so ready to be tested on and they asked very little on the topic, and another topic that I only did one time through that they seemed to drill me on.
My sims could have been worse, but they weren't un-doable (that's “doable” but in AICPA speak). We'll see. Compared to how I felt after I took FAR and REG (both of those tests either working right up to the minute or running out of time), this one was so much more relaxed.
Tricky Tricky, though. In my questionnaire after the test, I left a comment that the AICPA should consider using more commas. One question that I had could have meant two different things because it was so poorly structured. They need to write their questions so they are much more straightforward! You can say “no, the cat didn't not jump out of the box” a lot simpler… there is no need to write questions the way they do – audit clients generally speak in English.
REG - Nov 4, 2013: 88
FAR - Feb 27, 2014: 86
AUD - April 5, 2014: 91
BEC - May 6, 2014: 83Florida CPA 24 July 2014

univegabwMember@Quinacridone I agree I felt very prepared for things tested in such small chunks and not prepared well enoug for the larger tested items. I think the all Medium is a good interpretation as I felt a few really easy questions popped up in all the testlets.
Sims weren't horrible. I even found in the AL answers to an entire sim for me.
