    Hi all!
Using Yaeger and supplementing with Gleim. Took AUD last Friday, and walked out of the exam totally thrashed. I was using Gleim TB to help get ready for the test, and scoring high 60’s low 70’s there. MCQ seemed much tougher overall than Gleim TB, and SIMS somewhat similar to AICPA practice test. I did ok on AICPA practice test and scored a 75 on Yaeger’s and a 69 on Gleim’s. I can’t seem to think based on tests I’ve taken my whole life(I have 3 degrees), that I could have passed. But then again, I don’t see how anyone could walk out thinking they passed. Has anyone had similar experiences, and how does your score on practice tests based on what I’m doing translate to how you did on the exam? Thanks!!

Because of the way the CPA exam is scored, how are you trend on any review course tells you almost nothing about how you’ll do on the actual exam. It does seem that a lot of people tend to score higher on the actual exam than on the review course mock exams/MCQ trending score, however that’s not always true.

I used GLEIM for AUD and got a 79 on my practice exam and then spent 1 day reviewing all of the material I was weaker in. I ended up 2pts better on the actual and scored an 81. My coworker ended up 8pts higher on his actual AUD exam. It seems like you always do a couple points higher on the actual. For FAR I didn’t do any mock exams and just did MCQs and SIMs trending around 80 ans got an 80. Think it all depends on what you do after the mock exam to better your score.
