Just curious if anyone has a similar experience. I had only felt this confident after leaving REG, which I wasn’t 100% but I had figured I had a good chance of passing. The Facts:

    1. I used the AL for all of the SIMS (for 2 hours)….so I thought I had them right. There were 2 sims that I could have bombed if I misinterpreted them….so 5/7?

    2. MCQ’s didn’t feel that bad, I thought it progressively got more difficult and then leveled off. Pretty standard.

    3. Scored the best in Becker as far as MCQ’s go (out of all four exams I’ve taken), but usually my final exams give me a nice 10-20 points above what I score for MCQ and this time I hadn’t gained any but actually lost. I did skip half of the sims in Becker when I was running out of time, so that’s something I could do to reinforce what I had learned.

I was predicting (to myself) 80’s. Actually got a 59!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF! I was in shock when I saw that…. If I did fail, I was expecting it to be close.

It’s ridiculous, but I keep checking to see if the number was transposed. Will be interesting to see this score report…

Anyway, I obviously have a long way to go to re-take, and now I am just so scared that I don’t know anything. I feel so lost. Any similar experiences?

UPDATE–After lightly re-studying in just under a month, I jumped almost 30 points to my original score!!

In addition to re-writing notes from Becker chapters and re-working half of the MCQ's, I also added the ninja audio which I think was very helpful in tying up the stuff I already knew…especially the audit reports and the formats.

I do feel like I would have been prepared enough the first time, but I think what really hurt me was that my exam (1st round) was at 3pm. I am the kind of person that has to study for as long as possible to feel like I am prepared. I woke up at 7am that morning and studied non-stop (even working MCQ's) until 2pm when I left for the testing center. I'm at the conclusion that I just wore myself out that first day..studying for 7 hours then sitting for a 4 hour exam — Not smart on my part. I do think being relaxed and just reviewing notes is the way to go on test day. Now that I am finally done, this info is a little late for me…but hopefully this will help someone else!

Nicely done! Was it the sims or MCQ that did you in the first go around? And, did you feel alot more prepared the 2nd time around?

    FAR- PASSED (11/13)
    REG- PASSED (2/14)
    BEC- PASSED (5/14)
    AUD- PASSED (8/14)

If it's important to you, you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse.

@mjp44 I am with you in terms of feeling like I'm in the same boat as everyone else.

I walked out feeling great about how I did on AUD and now the more I read, the more I feel as though I didn't take enough time on the simulations. I felt that I did quite well on the MCQ and did fairly decent on the simulations and have been hoping that that combination would be enough to net the passing score.

Unfortunately, as many of you have been saying, the simulations have been the downfall to achieving a passing score. I will continue to study for FAR but if I do get back a failing score for AUD, I'm going to really focus on making sure I have the simulations aspect down.

I felt about the same regarding the MCQ & SIMS…..in fact, I had two of the same SIMS from the first exam. Took the same time, used the AL for all the sims….

Since I felt okay (even good) about it, as I did the first time, I was sure I must have failed again.

My score report the first time said pretty much everything was weaker except one area which was comparable….so it wasn't all that helpful. lol.
