    Hey guys,
I retook Audit yesterday after failing in Q1 with a 72. My score report said that I was stronger on MCQs and weaker on SIMs. This time around, I felt like the MCQs were a little harder, and the SIMs were way easier than my first attempt.

I’m not sure what to make of this experience. Everyone always talks about how hard the SIMs are for Audit – has anyone had an experience where they felt like their SIMs were easy compared to the MCQ?

That was my experience. My confidence took a big hit after the first 2 testlets and I just stopped caring after that. I didn't even take the break because I just wanted to go home and sulk. In a weird way that actually helped me become less nervous and the SIMS felt like a breeze.

REG Experience – yes. Passed REG in Q1’19: MCQs – 2d testlette felt harder (first one wasn’t easy either though); SIMs – felt kinda prepared and not blind sided, even easy (surprisingly). Score report stated: MCQ – stronger, SIMs – weaker. Ended up passing from the first try with 79, go figure…
Hated tax all of my life and thought REG would be the end of me and that it’d be the one section I would have to retake over and over again… What a surprise. Supplemented Becker with Ninja. Let me tell ya, if Jeff Elliott is good at anything, it is tax. I didn’t even read the book (Becker nor Ninja) cause I couldn’t bear a thought of rereading a “tax book ever again in my life.” So I listened to Becker lectures, did all Becker MCQs, did 35% of Ninja MCQs trending 78 right before the exam (emphasizing on my weakest area of Business Law) and kept rewatching Ninja Blitz (that’s what really saved me on the day of the exam).

@Sonya_m Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm studying for REG right now with Becker, and so far, it's overwhelming!

Hey guys, gonna jump on into this, just took audit today. So im just curious about how Becker mocks translate to the actual exam. I got a 57 on my first mock and a 73 on my second mock. Heard conflicting things about the becker bump. I took the exam today and I think worst case scenario probably got 60ish % correct on my first testlet. Then I saw my 2nd testlet of MCQs and I felt that they were way easier, worst case maybe 75% correct. Then I kinda flew through the sims. At this point im just over it and don't even want to take the exam anymore. My last testlet of sims were actually kinda difficult. Do you guys think its possible to squeeze out a 75 on this exam? Im glad its over but God, if I have to retake this exam again…

@J my first attempt at Audit I had Becker mock scores of 65 and 75 on Mock 1 and Mock 2, respectively. I flew through the MCQ and knew I did well on those, but once I got to the SIMS, they were really hard. I thought I did okay on the SIMs, but had an hour and a half left at the end of my exam. I failed with a 72.

Personally, I don't think the Becker mocks translate that much to the actual exam, especially for Audit.

@ihopeipassed , Hope you did well and passed. I just looked up my score and found out I passed with an 80 on the actual exam! So I guess MCQs are the only thing that is adaptive and SIMs aren't? I think that might explain why my testlets felt easier than expected. Can someone confirm this?

@J I passed with an 88! Only the MCQs are adaptive, the SIMs are not.
