Feeling deflated, just got a 74 on AUD this morning, my first time through last April I spread myself too thin (new job, moving, new bf, family drama, nightmarish audit) and didn’t study appropriately and got a 68. Just didn’t want to waste a perfectly good NTS! 🙂

Currently, I am about 4 chapters in on FAR (with Roger, plus have already attended all FAR live classes with Becker). My dilemma is – should I go back and do AUD – or continue with FAR?

Here are the facts:

1) My FAR NTS expires on 7/29
2) The MAIN issues I had with AUD were mainly the SIMS (having trouble with ratios and the impact they have, and elements of the audit risk model and what would impact them) (sure there are some other weak areas too given score)

I feel like doing FAR might give my brain the reset it needs, and that potentially, the FAR concepts will help me to perform better in AUD. But I’m not sure what I should do?

Suggestions please???? Want to make this judgment call as quickly as possible!

Retake AUD. the mental effort required will be less. It is like turning a ship full speed ahead to switch sections. You must know some FAR for AUD. people are usually surprised by that. You are close, so with a little more focus you should get over the hump

74 is very painful.I would say finish AUD as things are frsh in your mind.

I was in a similar boat. Failed FAR but when I got the score I already put in a couple weeks of study for REG. I just stuck with REG and went back to FAR. I was sick of looking at the FAR material and needed the break. When I went back and studied FAR the 2nd time was still horrible torture but I had remembered quite a bit and had a basic understanding of primary concepts and just needed to fill it in with the details.

I'm not confident about my retake. I kinda think I will need to take FAR again but I'm moving on to AUD and I am once again, so glad to not be looking at FAR materials 🙂

I agree in a respect (as do many others I have asked). But if I do end up needing the next several months to nail FAR I'll eat into that time by going back to AUD. That is my biggest concern.

Yeah the time limitations on my FAR NTS is my primary motivator. But also – I'm sick of seeing AUD! Like SO sick.

As an aside, can anyone tell me how to update my signature??
