    Hello All,

This post is of no reason and I really don’t even need any response; I just want to get it out!

So, I just got home from my AUD exam; first try. Honestly, I can not even say how I feel. I don’t think the sections got any harder. Well, based on the length of the questions getting longer. I do know the first section had realistic questions. Like I may have only needed to read them my normal two times. PSHH the second was like WTF??? I actually remember looking at a questions and was like what the hell are they looking for, is there more to this question?? Eh, annoyed. Third, honestly don’t remember, but mixed? After spending 2 hours each morning and 4 hours each evening after work and a good 4-6 hours on the weekend for 7 weeks you would think I could read the blessed, but no.

EHHH, so annoyed right now. I don’t think I passed and I am a little annoyed with myself. I am not at all blaming the test/questions/center. I am only blaming myself. Phew, who is drinking with me tonight?!?! My husband honestly can not wait. I think he needs a drink after these last couple weeks too.. I stress him out 🙂

Thanks all for allowing me to vent. I feel a bit better now. Well, and I have a beer in my hand.. so false feelings??!?!? Probably.

I KNOW! My husband checks the scores for me and tells me… i actually asked if it was for AUD – right then i knew i failed. He was like ” didn't you just get this?”….WTHHHH!

I was trending in the 80's, but I think i began to memorize the questions, since the average was only 65…

    @nath

im not sure if im the best person to ask, as I barely passed.

I used the gleim software, and I print out big poster boards with notes in large font and stick them to my walls. these notes cover the FAR essential topics. it helps me to see these things everyday. I also put sticky notes with little facts on them pretty much everywhere…including inside my car.

    mperez,

I know you didn't ask for my input, but I would STRONGLY advise passing either FAR or REG first, before pursuing the “easier” parts..

I have known too many people who went for BEC and AUD first, and saved FAR for last, only to keep scoring below 75…and eventually losing all of their prior credits.

I attempted to take FAR; but I was a bit devastated with the last score. Do you think I should push back AUD? And not take bec before the change?

Thanks for looking out for me! 🙂

    Mperez,

I keep forgetting about the change LOL… yeah considering that, id probably try to get BEC out of the way for sure..

    Nath,

sure thing. there were a couple bits of information that I had written down on sticky notes that showed up directly in the MCQ portion of my REG exam.. I believe they played a critical role in me passing, because according to NASBA, I bombed the sims.

I took Ez's path when testing, I took the perceived hardest tests first for a couple of reasons. One, I figured the longer into the studying for the CPA the lower my moral would be and / or effort. You just get burnt out. I didn't want to tackle FAR on my last go when I was already drained. Plus studying for REG or FAR first doesnt start the clock against you and they are lots of chapters to know versus AUD and BEC.

However, that was all before the exam changes coming up which needs to be factored in. To be honest I don't know if anyone knows the perfect answer for this, but you should go with your gut on what you know since you know yourself the best. There is a big delay for Q2 score release. Maybe you should spend that time on FAR assuming you take BEC in Q1.

First go at the CPA! Only using Becker
    Reg / Nov 2015 - 87
    Far / Apr 2016 - 79
    Bec / May 2016 - 80
    Aud / Aug 2016

@mperez102204 I would definitely take bec before the change.

As for audit- I just got a 74. I came out of the exam feeling like there was no way I would score below a 85. Checked all my sims after and had half of them near 100% correct. Felt great about the MC. I've read a lot of people in similar situations this quarter- seems there is a lot going on behind the scenes to me.

    BEC 4/22/16- 82
    REG 5/19/16
    FAR 7/7/16
    AUD 8/3/16

I think that I will take AUD retake at the end of January. Then I will take BEC in March. FAR I am going to study all of Q2 and retake that in Q3.

AUD is very tricky so it's tough getting past the fails. Don't give up hope!

    -

    BEC 80 (10/23/15)
    FAR 72 (4/2/15); 83 (7/11/16)
    REG 52 (4/28/15)
    AUD (9/9/16)

I honestly was very annoyed with myself. Do you think I should just right back into AUD or is the score too far to even make a difference?
