I was referred by a colleague to this website. I just got my results in Audit and I didn’t perform to well. I have taken the exam twice. I used Yaegar and Wiley Study material and Test Bank 2013. My questions are:

    1. What other study material can anyone recommend which would complement my Wiley test bank.

    2. The simulations have been getting the best of me. Any tips or study material which can help me with audit.

    Audit- 61, and 60

    Determined to be a Cpa.

    Audit 61, 59, 65

Do tons of multiple choice questions…on my exam i got at least 15 out of 90 MCQs that I'd seen before.

    BEC - 97
    AUD - 98
    FAR - 90
    REG - 94

    @ MintsRGood

How do you get AICPA database access? I am studying for AUD retake and am REALLY struggling with SIMs (which seems to be the key to passing)

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77

    Ogo,

Now you can tell the diversity of review courses based on the comments here, my advice is to stick with your current review course and supplement it with other cost effective test banks like WTB or Cpareviewforfree.

Do everything your review course instructs you to do with exception of highlighting, I hate someone prompting me to highlight when I don’t even know if that area or chapter is going to be my weakness. Its better to go through the review course, practice mcqs and simulations, identify your weak points and make your own notes.

I find Gleim very resourceful (do not take this as an advise to switch to Gleim) but I have never passed using Gleim alone.

I pass a section anytime I supplement with WTB and I will be going down this path till it’s all done.

Don’t be discouraged, you can do this!

    REG -63│ 84!!
    BEC- 59│70│ 71 │78!
    AUD- 75!
    FAR- 87!

The key is assessing which tools help you learn the best. For some people, lectures/videos are very helpful. For others, they prefer to just read the material and drill MCQ's. It all comes down to what type of learner you are. Doing study activities that don't help the type of learner you are is just a waste of time.

For instance, I don't do well with lectures/videos/audio. The time I spend on these is mostly a waste because I don't learn that way. I'm using Gleim, and my method is for each section I read the material, crank out as many MCQ's as I can, then do a practice Sim or two. I find the MCQ's really drill home what I read and are useful for me to distinguish WHY some answers are right and others are wrong. I usually figure out a pattern and can recall those similar issues on later questions. I use the sims more or less to get an idea of the types of problems that can be presented on the exam, and focus more on learning and recalling the information. I don't do lectures, I don't watch videos or listen to audio…just read and practice questions because that's the way I learn best.

Think about what methods help you the most, and stick with those.

    @ MintsRGoood

Thank you!!! How did you use it in your studies? Come up with Qs to search or use already established SIMs?

Hi all, I just have a question about real test. When I was doing simulation part on the real exam, the time was expired automatically. That means it is not submit by myself at last second. So i am not sure the system could save my simulation part. I would appreciate if someone can give me a sure answer.
