I am not sure about continuing with my cpa exam journey. I have been working on it since summer of 2011 and had three sections passed before I missed AUD by 1 point and had to retake everything. Lately I am feeling discouraged with every score release email. I have purchased and tried several study programs and this is the result so far:

    BEC 75 (LC), 74, 75

    FAR 75 (LC), 60, 60

    REG 63, 71, 72, 82

    AUD 74, 72, 71, 72, 65

I only have 1 testing window before I will lose my hard earned credit for REG and I am so worried!!!

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77

I pulled those numbers from the Practice Sessions module, but I'm pretty sure that they use the same MCQs for all formats – so a practice exam would have 90 MCQs out of the same pool as if you selected 90 in a Practice Session, the difference would just be that in the practice exam, it might be separated into 3 categories (I'm not sure – I've never done one), and it wouldn't show you the correct answer immediately. I prefer Practice Sessions because I can do them in any length that I like and I *do* see answers immediately. I learn better knowing what was wrong and why as soon as I do it wrong. But…I'm pretty sure that the MCQ counts are total for any form of viewing them (practice exam, pop quiz, practice session, etc)

I was confused where the numbers came from because when I looked at the WTB I purchased, the Assessments had the following numbers:

    Financial Statements – 30

    Present Value Fundamentals – 15

    Research Simulations 9

    Accounting Changes – 15 & 3 Simulations

    Error Correction – 15 & 3 Simulations

    Basic Concepts – 33 & 3 Simulations

    Present Value Bonds – 21 & 3 Simulations

Present Value Debt Restructure – 15

    Business Combinations & Consolidations – 15 & 3 Simulations

    Deferred Taxes – 15 & 3 Simulations

    Derivative Instruments & Hedging Activities – 15

    Foreign Currency Translation – 15 & 3 Simulations

    Fixed Assets – 45 & 3 Simulations

    Governmental Accounting – 33

    Personal Financial Statements – 15

    Segment Reporting – 15 & 3 Simulations

    Interim Reporting – 15

    Partnership Accounting – 15 & 3 Simulations

    Inventory – 24 & 3 Simulations

    Investments – 21 & 3 Simulations

    Present Value Leases – 18 & 3 Simulations

    Monetary Current Assets & Current Liabilities – 43 & 3 Simulations

    Not-for-Profit Accounting – 24

    Present Value Pensions – 15 & 3 Simulations

    Statement of Cash Flows – 18 & 3 Simulations

    Stockholders' Equity – 36 & 3 Simulations

I am comparing the sections in WTB with the NINJA Notes. However, I can not find any parts of the Notes that correspond with the Financial Statements and Present Value Fundamentals sections on WTB.

If you know which sections, please let me know 🙂

G3, I say hang in there. You obviously have what it takes to become a CPA. You've passed 3/4 sections within a couple of years. I myself have been on & off this journey for 4 years and have yet to pass any sections. I say, stick at it, give it your best shot this last window and pray for continued success at it!
