I am not sure about continuing with my cpa exam journey. I have been working on it since summer of 2011 and had three sections passed before I missed AUD by 1 point and had to retake everything. Lately I am feeling discouraged with every score release email. I have purchased and tried several study programs and this is the result so far:

    BEC 75 (LC), 74, 75

    FAR 75 (LC), 60, 60

    REG 63, 71, 72, 82

    AUD 74, 72, 71, 72, 65

I only have 1 testing window before I will lose my hard earned credit for REG and I am so worried!!!

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77

Thanks for the kind words πŸ™‚

I know that once I get this done, it will all be worth it. I just need to remember that during the many frustrating times!

G3, I passed Far,Bec,and Reg using Becker on my first try 6 years ago. I got a 74 in Audit and the had some family issues so ended up losing all my credits. It seems that Becker does not help much with Audit. I heard that Roger CPA is pretty good for Audit so I might try Audit first this time around and of course using Roger. Good luck!

    G3 – no problem.

Here's to a better life when we both pass.

Thanks, I will look into Roger for Audit. Good luck to you too. I know how frustrating it can be to have to retake an exam you already passed!

G3: Don't give up! I am on test #26 in October and I missed being a CPA by two points on test #25 in August. I lost and re-passed BEC and now I will lose AUD if I don't pass FAR Oct 14th. I understand the “revolving door” of re-taking tests when they expire and it is so devastating. I have had everything and the kitchen sink thrown at me during my quest to be a CPA including major surgeries, the passing of my mother, more health problems and now watching my father's health decline rapidly.

I don't know why some folks fly through the exams and others struggle but… I do know you don't really FAIL until you give up!

Good luck to you and hang in there, kid!

Thank you so much for the encouragement.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your mother, I lost my father a few years back and know how heartbreaking the loss of a parent can be!

I hope everything goes well for you in October and you do not have to revisit the beast that is known as AUD πŸ™‚

    @ Lilla

Does the # of Qs breakdown by topic include questions from pop quizzes and Practice Exams or simply from the Assessments?

    Thanks πŸ™‚

I pulled those numbers from the Practice Sessions module, but I'm pretty sure that they use the same MCQs for all formats – so a practice exam would have 90 MCQs out of the same pool as if you selected 90 in a Practice Session, the difference would just be that in the practice exam, it might be separated into 3 categories (I'm not sure – I've never done one), and it wouldn't show you the correct answer immediately. I prefer Practice Sessions because I can do them in any length that I like and I *do* see answers immediately. I learn better knowing what was wrong and why as soon as I do it wrong. But…I'm pretty sure that the MCQ counts are total for any form of viewing them (practice exam, pop quiz, practice session, etc)
