I am not sure about continuing with my cpa exam journey. I have been working on it since summer of 2011 and had three sections passed before I missed AUD by 1 point and had to retake everything. Lately I am feeling discouraged with every score release email. I have purchased and tried several study programs and this is the result so far:

    BEC 75 (LC), 74, 75

    FAR 75 (LC), 60, 60

    REG 63, 71, 72, 82

    AUD 74, 72, 71, 72, 65

I only have 1 testing window before I will lose my hard earned credit for REG and I am so worried!!!

Being optimistic, I am thinking of buying material for FAR and AUD only (hopefully, I won't have to buy the other sections later).

    @ Jennifer241

That sounds like a good idea – reading/writing a topic section of notes each day and working on Qs

Which sections have you used the Notes for? How are they broken down (# topic sections/pages)?

How is the Wiley test bank? Are the sections like the CSO's of the exam and are there Qs and Sims for each? Any practice exams?

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77

Here is the breakdown of the BEC exam in Wiley and how many questions they have:

@Jeff I knew the price had gone up since I bought it, but wasn't sure how much, so had to make a guess.

@G3 I felt like Wiley test bank prepared me very well for the “real deal”. To give you another subject's info, here's FAR's topics and questions in WTB:

    Accounting Changes – 25

    Basic Concepts – 105

    Business Combinations & Consolidations – 45

    Deferred Taxes – 50

    Derivative Instruments & Hedging Activities – 50

    Error Correction – 13

    Financial Statements – 102

    Fixed Assets – 151

    Foreign Currency Translation – 23

    Governmental Accounting – 114

    Interim Reporting – 17

    Inventory – 78

    Investments – 67

Monetary Current Assets & Current Liabilities – 145

    Not-for-Profit Accounting – 78

    Partnership Accounting – 25

    Personal Financial Statements – 12

    Present Value Bonds – 67

Present Value Debt Restructure – 8

    Present Value Fundamentals – 21

    Present Value Leases – 61

    Present Value Pensions – 37

    Segment Reporting – 21

Statement of Cash Flows – 59

    Stockholders' Equity – 120

Should be a total of 1494 if I got all the numbers right lol. That's just counting the MCQs – there's also 66 SIMs.

And…a lot of people have added Ninja Notes and WTB and been quite happy with the results. Personally I prefer the Ninja Audio to the Ninja Notes. I like that I can listen to the audio while driving, gardening, vacuuming, etc., when I can't actually sit down and study. It covers essentially the same material as the notes, but in audio form. For me, when I'm able to sit down and study, I'd rather use that time for WTB or working with the review course, and get the “condensed” version via audio while I'm out-and-about. Just sharing this for another perspective on the materials that you choose. Of course, you can get the 10-Point Combo and get Notes, Audio, and WTB altogether. 😉

    Chipper up G3.

Several things to note…I'm way behind you.

The CPA doesn't test your aptitude, how much you'll make, or how good you'll be as an accountant.
