Dang it. I failed Audit with a 71. Pretty close, but not close anough.

Reasons why I failed:

1. Not enough Review Time. Only had 6 days.

2. I had a student sitting next to me taking the GRE and she POUNDED her key board for over any hour. I SWEAR this was a terrible distraction and I could not focus during my 2nd Testlet. I have never experienced this before and it was a Major distraction.

3. I did not guess the correct answer when the question had two possible choices.

I’m going to hit MCQ’s, Sims, and book, then take exam in early January.

Any suggestions? Btw, I am not lying about the Keyboard Banging. It was absolutely TERRIBLE for an hour.

If I had 6 days to review for AUD, I would have probably scored a 17….

That order of preparation is just off. It's like rushing to cook a dish to taste and eat it without reading the instructions first. That's just not right. AUD is not random. There are governing bodies, authorities, terms, ethics, methods, criteria, etc. to learn before a report can be done.

You're right, AUD is very tricky. Many times we see two good answers. However, the examiner wants to know if we can gauge and pick out the best and most correct answer. We cannot get it right just by guessing. That's when the importance of the base AUD knowledge learned (by reading/understanding the concept) comes into play.

In my recent AUD retake, I had probably answered less than 500 MCQs only and didn't finish all my HW from Becker (specifically from A4 & A5). I ran out of time. I probably answered a hundred of MCQs from Ninja. But I read and wrote comprehensive notes from the 4 chapters (6,1,2, & 3). My AUD notes contain 89 pages in total. In the last 2 days, I made sure I got the concepts right from A4 & A5 by browsing the lecture and pay extra attention to the highlighted sections of the chapters. After the test, I felt I passed, but I would not be surprised if I fail because of the time constraints in my studies. I have an alibi to fail since I just started a new job in October.
So to me, reading and understanding AUD concept is way better than just to jump into MCQs and answer them blindly.

I was in a similar situation as you. Even the keyboard pounding from someone sitting next to me haha.

When I took AUD the first time, I didn't even have a day to review. I literally had finished the last chapter and some Becker MCQs the day before the exam.

After I found out I failed, I purchased the Ninja MCQs and literally just did the Ninja MCQs nonstop. Did not even read the Becker book again and raised my score by 22.

I did not study any SIMS when I studied for AUD.

When I got a 71 on AUD, I bought the ninja notes, copied them word for word ten pages a day, and did 50-100 mcq a day for 30 days. My retake was an 84.

AUD is tricky as hell, I studied big time for AUD and barely pulled a 76, for REG I studied also a good amount but not nearly as AUD in fact for REG I didn't even got to review the last one and a 1/4 chapters of the book and I still passed. Maybe it was just luck, but I remember comparing MCQ answers on becker and cpaexcel and those fuckers didn't always matched. So am working hard to never have to take AUD again cause I don't know if I could pass it again. LOL
