Audit Went Better Than You Thought?

For those of you who took and passed Audit, did the test go better or worse than you expected? I passed FAR in January which was my first test but I studied for 12 weeks (over 300 hours-probably overkill). I felt like I understood that material more than I am for Audit. So far I’ve put in about 6 weeks and I’m still really unsure about certain areas and I only have 2 weeks to go before test day Sometimes I think its clicking and other times I have serious doubts that I’ll pass. This anxiety may come from the fact that I have no auditing experience and the one class I took on the subject was awful only b/c the professor was pretty terrible. Just looking to find out others’ experience with this section and if there is anything else I can do to better prepare myself.

    FAR-85 (1/28/15)
    AUD-91 (4/3/15)
    BEC-82 (5/21/15)
    REG-90 (7/31/15)

    I am done!!!!

Definitely went way better than I thought

that said so far I have found I either kill it (94 AUD and 89 BEC) or I flounder (REG 66)

so hard to say what is right.

What are you using to study and what are your MC percentages?

Wow, I'm jealous of your AUD score! That being said though, I'd take a 75 on the rest of my tests at this point. I'm using CPAExcel which has been working pretty well with my schedule and the way I learn. I'm also using the NINJA combo, mainly for the MCQs and notes. My trending score is 84% and average is 79%.

    AUD-91 (4/3/15)
    BEC-82 (5/21/15)
    REG-90 (7/31/15)

That sounds like a win to me

Becker I usually tried to stay above 80%- if so I was happy

I sat for Audit because my NTS was going to go stale…

I had 4 years audit experience and simply read through the book once and focused on new areas – all within a week of the exam. I got a 76.

    I left very confused, thinking I either got a 75 or a 40.

AUD is the one I remember the least.

I took AUD after passing FAR and was extremely burnt out. Similar to you, I overkilled on study time (6+ hours a day, nearly every day, for 2 months) so when I finished, my brain was fried and it was very hard to study for AUD. I pushed through Becker and did each MCQ twice and about half the Sims. In total I spent less than 100 hours on AUD where on FAR I spent well over 200.

I left my exam feeling pretty good. I definitely noticed it went Medium, Hard, Hard. I don't remember my Sims in too much detail but I do remember getting home and kicking myself for forgetting that I could use the AL on one of them (it would have spelled out the answer for me word for word if I had thought of it). I know I got my research question right but it took me over 20 minutes to figure out. It was my first sim and after about 10 minutes I knew I was wasting time and had to circle back to it. I finished my other Sims and came back to my research question, spent another 10 minutes spinning my wheels when I finally sat back and realized I was going about it the wrong way. Tried a couple of different search terms and, almost immediately, came back with the answer, word for word, staring me in the face.

Overall I felt good coming out of the exam but not great. So far it's my lowest score but, like I said, I blame that for being so burnt out from FAR. After passing AUD that gave me the motiviation to hit BEC hard and I'm hitting REG with the same intensity.
